seems small but is huge: webpages as clean APIs for agents. the web is going to change so much, it's a very exciting time. props to Stripe for being early :)
If you wanna get into the weeds of our WebMCP integration, I went through a @stripe checkout page and tried out all the new tools

Treasury Agents are here Over 5,000+ users a month are already using agents to analyze your spend, understand your balances and financial data. Next, they can act on it. We’re opening up capabilities that let agents move money, convert currencies, and more with your approval. Want to help us test what’s next? docs.stripe.com/treasury/age….

Still the best startup name out there, great product too 👏👏👏
Today we're announcing @lightfld's $47M Series A led by @a16z to reimagine CRM as a world model of a business. For agents to do customer-facing work, they need to understand how your business actually works. Salesforce wasn't designed for this. It was built 20+ years ago for humans to update records. Layer agentic processes on top and you get low quality output, because the underlying data is incomplete and lacks the structure agents need. @lightfld updates itself from every interaction, forming a trustworthy model of your business for people and agents. Since launching last November, 5,000+ companies have signed up - and we're ripping out legacy CRM at mature organizations with hundreds of users. Companies on Lightfield grow faster than their competitors. It finds prospects that look like your best customers and books meetings with them. It captures commitments from every conversation and automates follow-ups. It diagnoses weaknesses in your funnel and learns from your best sellers to codify what works. The companies of the future will run on a business world model, not a Salesforce-era database. Our mission is to put that capability in the hands of every employee, and every agent, at every company.

One thing I've learned in the last 18mo: there is insatiable appetite for arguing about mcp vs cli vs api vs website

It’s not perfect but this is the same metaphor I landed on recently.
companies building their own agent rather than exposing an mcp / cli for their uses is like if you had to download a separate browser for every website you use

Probably makes sense for some companies (regulated space; sensitive data) to do both, but most should just expose tools and guardrails.

this is the way
RIP human-centric onboarding at @clerk All entrypoints will say ~"just tell your agent to add clerk" by the end of the week. We think we've found ways to steer agents to our CLI, where the integration success rate is highest Will report back next week on results!

Scribbled some notes on running software teams - users > company > team > me - having a vision buys you space to cook - high morale, low output trap - being a FUD dampener - etc ianmccrystal.com/posts/notes…

very cool to see hyper competition playing out so clearly in AI: better models, cheaper models, open, closed, so many harness options, advantages fleeting, so much choice (and surplus) for users. dusty econ101 textbooks being vindicated in real time.

i will say that, coming back from a multi-month computer detox and now spending a bunch of time vibecoding: token prices _must_ come down substantially and the market clearly sees that and is making it happen. "your margin is my opportunity" etc etc
