i spent the past year building personal software factories for myself
i tried everything the day it launched
- openclaw
- hermes
- every agentic IDE
- warp factories
- droid
- every combination of cloud VMs and local coding tools
nothing has come close to a simple @bot , slack, and custom harness
most solutions are overgineered
pipe in your context, develop good skills, build loops you like, veryify on device, and run nightly self improvement
this plus opus5.5 is truly a sweet spot, plus @conductor_build for your hardest tasks
I've since abandoned everything else
fomo eng x design working on some very cool internal tools right now
figma can no longer be a source of truth in an agentic world
when things are designed in code, you need better solutions for getting a visual source of truth for your applications
Took this inspiration to visualize what my actual personal software factory looks like
Powered through @bot and custom engineering loops
You need to be grok bot factory maxxing

fomo will become the global financial social graph
our goal is to connect anybody in the world with markets and each other
(but plz touch grass once in a while)
Started using @sandbar ring this week
Probably the best consumer product I鈥檝e used since the AirPod
I predict a majority of knowledge workers will wear one of these within 2 years
With always on agents getting so good, the bottleneck to doing more is the human machine interface
Humans were not meant to type on tiny glass screens
A massively underestimated source of context for your agents is youtube data. you should be swarming youtube and getting youtube transcripts as much as possible. i'd argued that the information there is actually better than x a lot of the times
not using grok bot to manage slack is the same as not using a agentic IDE to write code
how does anyone do work without this
Im actually not convinced you need to be writing slop at all
With proper loops and verification and steering routines you can reduce 90% of slop
Maybe ship 20% slower but wayyy less slop than just prompting
