The Wiltshire Downs are currently plastered with juvenile Corn Buntings. On two farms last night we saw a minimum of 600. They sit on top of the crops and then wheel around in big flocks, it really is impressive to see. Their juvenile plumage is gorgeous but doesn't last long.

The most chilling detail is the interpretation. To the monks of Lindisfarne, this wasn't just a raid; it was the literal Apocalypse. They believed these "sea-wolves" were the heralds of Judgement Day sent by God for their sins. This stone doesn't just show warriors; it captures the precise moment their spiritual world ended.

Absolute load of old Bollocks.!
Absurd claim that White-tailed Eagles snatched five Shetland ponies leads to inevitable call to 'shoot eagles'.
More sensationalist nonsense, demonising the UK's rarest eagle.

The #HistoricCounties are the geography of our nations.
They DON’T:
❌ Run councils
❌ Empty bins
❌ Run rubbish dumps
❌ Support schools
❌ Provide adult social care
❌ Run children’s homes
❌ Repair roads
They are cultural subdivisions - and denote geographical locations!
