@ITUSecGen, Secretary-General at @ITU, James Manyika, Senior Vice President @Google and @iamwill, musician, tech founder, philanthropist, and Goodwill Ambassador of AI Skills Coalition launched an AI Skills initiative yesterday during Digital@UNGA at the UN General Assembly (#UNGA), to bring AI and Robotics training to students across Africa.
The programme combines hands-on #AI and #robotics training for young people in underserved #communities, including in those countries where the joint @ITU - @UNICEF Giga initiative is working to help governments connect schools to the Internet.
The first phase will start in five African countries, building on Robotics for Good competitions and @Gigaglobal partnerships. Over time, the programme will expand across Africa and eventually worldwide.
