With the Red Wave beat, we’re going to give Republicans exactly what they deserve.
And what they deserve is insulin. What they deserve is healthcare.
You like liberty? Let’s see how you like housing, food and clean water as a human right.
Get ready for what’s coming, assholes.
I keep hearing people dismiss "Defund the Police" as a stupid slogan. Defund is a tricky word, because it can be read as "remove some funding" or "remove all funding". Unfortunately, there isn't a better word to get the message across.
Consider the word "deflate". It's used to describe removing some air or all the air out of your tires. Two very different things. Either way, deflate is the best word to use.

Living in LA, I’ve lived in many a neighborhood in which police helicopters circle all day and they don’t do anything except be loud an annoying.
You know what improved the morale and safety of my neighborhood in less than two weeks?
A new taco stand. I’m 1000% serious.

Crested mynas, as many other birds, are born altricially, which means young are underdeveloped at the time of birth, therefore fed by parents. When they grow up, they have to learn that food doesn't simply jump into their beaks [📽️: Rebecca Gelernter]

They were right. Mass shootings are an outgrowth of a militarized and alienated society where violence is a feature of policy at every level.
I will be thinking of this thread all season

Please enjoy this photo of the Oscars red carpet, in a dumpster, in the rain.
Interesting photo @latimes What I want to know is: Why does this gas station across from Olvera Street consistently have the most expensive gas? Write an article about that!
