We are just starting to see the outcome of the parents who set no limits and raised their children like their disability did not exist. Let's go even further back, 30 years, almost every parent wrote those children off, so basically they never lived to their full potential.

This is for children with DS. I have no thoughts of opinions on autism, im speaking from my observations and from being a father of a son with ds.

What's wild is that society has set a precedent on children/people with disabilities. Being in this now, I can tell you that even 15 years ago the parents were divided. Some worked to make their kids smart and healthy, others wrote their children off.
