If you get a chance to show some love today do it! It won’t cost you nothing. ❤️
You want to leave a real legacy #techtwitter? do the right thing for #women, for not-women, for literally anyone that uses the internet: build privacy into your software by design.
Today, we're highlighting Ethyca's very own VP Product @iamkelllly! 🎊 A champion for building respectful and #OpenSource software, she also has extensive experience in development and strategy across #fintech, #healthcare IT, and more. Follow this #DataPrivacy leader!

ALT A quote from Kelly Huang: “Working in software is a huge responsibility: We have the ability to create the world we want to live in and to treat people with the respect we hope to receive. Privacy in software is an expression of respect for others in the world we are building for generations to come.”

Looking for Open Source projects. Reply with a github repo and we will give it a shout out during the space.
This Open Source Friday, @ajcwebdev and @blackgirlbytes talk about contributing to open source for the first time.

@rperry_ is doing some cool work on @PyroscopeIO, an #opensource continuous resource profiling platform doing the spelunking so you don't have to figure out what code is causing performance issues github.com/pyroscope-io/pyro…
also apparently we're supposed to follow @johncodes on tiktok because he's got dank memes vm.tiktok.com/TTPdkA5DFy

my relationship with jira is toxic and i accept that i will never find anything better until github decides that Projects is going to be my new emotionally abusive task management tool

great ideas and speakers at @money2020 this year! if there's one thing you should take home with you, it's this 👇 (thanks for the 🧵 @mX !)
"Data privacy is a human right and should be included in all software by default." - Kelly Huang, @iamkelllly, VP of Product at @ethyca #money2020
when data privacy has no standards 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩
interoperability may seem like the antithesis of data privacy, but trust me, from fintech to healthcare to b2c, if you lack standards, you cannot determine ✨what should remain private for all ✨
Today we’re publishing an open source, interoperable privacy taxonomy intended to simplify describing privacy in any tech stack.
Couldn’t be more excited as this is the result of 3 years work and the beginning of some industry changing announcements.

Between the 3 Sept and 10 Sept, secure env vars of *all* public @travisci repositories were injected into PR builds. Signing keys, access creds, API tokens.
Anyone could exfiltrate these and gain lateral movement into 1000s of orgs. #security 1/4

2️⃣Consent is seen as the cornerstone of privacy protection but the opposite is often true, as even if you reinforce it to the extreme (as per #GDPR), the complexities of technology and life make it meaningless. In practice, consent as intended only works when choice is genuine.
