I nearly knew Jeff the entire span of my career, when I met Jeff in 2007 he walked in the business the same way I did through the doors of one of the most carny Wrestling Promotions in the history of the Sport a place called “National Wrestling Superstars” we nicknamed him “Superbad” because his fro and physique resembled Jonah hill in the new hit comedy movie yes you guessed it “Superbad” That nickname only lasted a few weeks because we all realized Jeff was a good dude, a hilarious dude and dude much like us that loved Professional Wrestling. Jeff was someone that liked the same wrestling I liked, Hardcore, bloody, dangerous and sometimes dogshit professional wrestling. Our careers went kind of similar paths for about 9 years, fighting our way through the Jersey Indies culminating in both competing in a match we both loved as teens THE CAGE OF DEATH in 2016, despite the match being complete ass we didn’t care because we made it to THE CAGE OF DEATH like we always wanted too. In the year 2017, our careers kind of went in different paths but I still ran into Jeff quite regularly due us sometimes being on the same shows or having mutual friends. When I found out Jeff was diagnosed with ALS, I made it a mission to raise money for his family & all while giving him his flowers. Last year cannonball fest was a massive success and one of the most positive days I’ve ever been apart of in my life, raising well over 40k while bringing many different wrestlers on different paths For one reason, a mutual love for Jeff. I’ll never forget that day & effort as long as I live. It was fitting that the last time I saw Jeff was at The ECW ARENA in May, a building that started and showcased the bloody, dangerous and sometimes dogshit professional wrestling we loved. Danny Demanto has been contacting me for a benefit show he was putting on for Jeff in Nov & on Tues I thought to myself “I should really visit Jeff soon, because I feel terrible not doing so recently” Unfortunately I’ll never get the chance to again, & I’m upset for not doing but i know Jeff knew how much in high regard I thought of him & will miss him dearly CANNONBALL FOREVER, FUCK ALS RIP Jeff Guerriero
