Now we’re talking. “Let’s build justice together” says @LawDroid in announcing the LawDroid Hackathon, a virtual, global, open-source competition presented in partnership with @LagniappeLawLab and the Legal Services National Technology Assistance Project (@LSNTAP). The hackathon challenges the people working closest to the access-to-justice crisis to design and build technology that helps close it. Applications open today.
Lagniappe Law Lab helps Louisiana’s civil justice community scale its impact, while LSNTAP helps legal aid organizations improve client services through technology.
Together with LawDroid, they are seeking ideas from people who see the justice gap up close. The hackathon is geared toward individuals and organizations working in access to justice, though anyone with a thoughtful idea for courts, legal aid, or those they serve may apply.

🚨 We have movement in Wisconsin!
Petitioners from @QuarlesandBrady, officially filed a proposal with the Wisconsin Supreme Court that could create a new pathway for trained Legal Advocates to provide authorized legal help.

They’re also asking the court to keep the comment period open until December 31, 2026.
From housing and benefits to debt and other everyday challenges, many people face legal issues without knowing where to turn.
This is more than a conversation about rules. It's about asking a simple question: How can we make sure more people have somewhere to turn when life gets complicated and they need timely help?
