Great to see @tinie making a comeback and heading to Scunthorpe!
On @BBCBreakfast this morning, he spoke about rising costs leaving grassroots music venues struggling to turn a profit and, in too many cases, closing their doors.
@musicvenuetrust is doing vital work across the country, but established artists have a part to play too.
Why not play a run of nights in 100–500 capacity venues, adding dates where there’s demand? Sold-out shows could bring venues much-needed income while giving more fans the chance to see their favourite artists up close.
Small venues give so many artists their start. Playing them again could help keep those doors open for the next generation.
Which established artists would be up for helping grassroots venues survive and thrive?

For my birthday, she somehow got me @CroftyF1’s actual notes from the 2024 British GP at @SilverstoneUK.
The race where @LewisHamilton won at home for a record ninth time.
Then she got me a Ferrari shirt.
And topped it all off with a birthday cake featuring Lewis’ Ferrari. 😂❤️
I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better birthday.
But there’s a bit more to why this means so much to me…
F1 has been my biggest passion since I was a kid. I grew up watching it with my dad.
This photo is us watching the Abu Dhabi GP on 13 December 2020. The last race we ever watched together. He passed away just a month later.
I never imagined that an ordinary afternoon watching F1 with my dad would become one of the memories I’d hold onto most.
I’ve watched hundreds of races since.
But I’ve never watched one from the grandstands.
Not once.
I’ve never been able to afford it, and now that I’m disabled and unable to work, I honestly don’t know if I ever will.
So if anyone at @F1, @SilverstoneUK, @MercedesAMGF1, @ScuderiaFerrari, @SkySportsF1 or anywhere else in the F1 world happens to see this…
I’d love to experience just ONE Grand Prix in person.
To hear those cars fire up. To feel the atmosphere.
To finally look down a circuit and see F1 cars coming towards me instead of watching them through a screen.
And maybe, just maybe, make a new F1 memory that I can carry with me for the rest of my life and in honour of my Dad.
That would be one hell of a birthday present. ❤️🏎️

I think I’m just going to have to accept I’m never going to see an F1 race live due to my disability. I really wanted to go to Silverstone this weekend.
But I feel like every year that goes by it’ll just never happen.
