On Morning Joe there was a discussion about recent shootings. Joe was pointing out how people are being shot during everyday activities.
He mentioned the cheerleaders going to the wrong car; the college students in the wrong driveway; but when he got to Ralph Yarl, he called him a “young man.”
I would urge the media to be careful how they label Black children. Ralph Yarl is a teenager, 16, and a child.
Recall cops were called on a 9yr old spraying a homemade mixture to kill lanternflies that damage trees. She was described as a woman. Black kids are portrayed as adults to justify fear and hatred. Just be mindful. #FreshResists
