📚Every teacher is a teacher of reading - regardless of age and subject. 🏛️ At Reach Teacher Training we explicitly teach our trainees how to teach reading, including the key pillars of accuracy, speed, and prosody.

Absolute pleasure to have @iago_isla come and speak to our trainees yesterday. It’s important that every teacher, regardless of a child’s age, knows how to be an expert teacher of reading. Also a big shout out to @Suchmo83 who whose book got a huge recommendation from Isla!

💎Shout out to @iago_isla, Reading Lead at @reachfeltham, for an absolute gem of a Guest Lecture this week! 📚Every teacher is a teacher of reading, whether Primary or Secondary, teaching English, Maths, Computing or Art. Isla’s session helped give them the tools they need 🛠️
