The IAFF EHRC has worked as the sounding board and voice of our union, providing insight and guidance to affiliates and fire departments on matters such as those going on today across the globe.

Because of the nature of our work, we can’t safely operate without a certain number of personnel. In other words, to send us to a fire with inadequate staffing would be irresponsible at best; at worst, deadly.

Newport Fire Rings Peace Bell For Victims of #COVID19
fortthomasmatters.com/2020/0… #TogetherKY #Kentucky #TeamKentucky
We cannot gather with our families or friends this Easter Sunday. We can, however, ring our bells at 10am each day to unite in solidarity as we remember our fellow Americans who lost their lives, and to those who are feeling alone, Newport Firefighters are thinking of you.
Newport Firefighters are making sure we are staying 100% healthy to protect the safety of each firefighter & our communities. We are taking our temperatures 2x a day. We constantly disinfect & also practice #socialdistancing, all while still trying to stay positive & have a fun.

We enjoyed some amazing carryout pizza, wings, and (the best) fried mozzarella tonight from Newport Pizza Company
We will do our part to support our comminuty in any & all ways possible. We know times are a little tough, but together we will get through this! Thank you to @WebbsBBQ & the kind anonymous donor for providing lunch today for the Newport Firefighters. #socialdistancing #carryout
HB 484 (CERS Separation), we are ready and waiting to hear the bill. PLEASE support this bill & #freeCERS @repkoenig
Local 45 members are in attendance at the IAFF Legislative Conference in Washington D.C. We will meet with our elected representatives at Captiol Hill to discuss firefighter issues and the challenges we are facing. @KPFF_IAFF @marksandersiaff

#NewportFirefighters had a wonderful opportunity to read to the children at the Newport Intermediate School in honor of National #ReadAcrossAmericaWeek . The firefighters focus on motivating children to read as it improves their performance in school. Happy reading!
Secretary Audrey Owczarzak was presented with a "Citation of Achievement" from @Rachel4KY for her extraordinary achievement, performance, and dedication to the #IAFF, #IAFFEHRC, Local45, community, & citizens
