I probably won't be posting here anymore--instead, I'm going to be on Mastodon at @spnylbstr@vis.social. Feel free to follow me over there if you're so inclined!
I think I'm gonna vote a little bit today.
Not EVERY measure. The ballot's super long and I'm probably gonna get snacky soon. But at least some.
God I love mail-in voting in Colorado.

The incredible moment where Alex Jones is informed that his own lawyer accidentally sent a digital copy of his entire phone to the Sandy Hook parents' lawyer, thereby proving that he perjured himself.
h/t @Acyn
I'm in this picture and I don't like it
OK let me tell you a story about an #ADHD thing that happens to me and maybe you. It's when you slowly plan and build up to doing a thing but then your secret brain plan gets interrupted and you ABSOLUTELY LOSE IT.
I really hate it when it turns out that the bug breaking your code was inside you all along.
On an unrelated note, it turns out that if you run two identical versions of the same code with different input parameters, they produce different results. Who knew?

John Dabiri and I acted as scientific consultants for @JordanPeele’s new movie!! It was truly an honor to be a part of and see my name in the credits! Everyone go watch @nopemovie! And stay tuned for some exciting bonus materials I’m still working on!
This right here is why I get as much of my hardware from dumpsters and street corners as I can.
Defining the tasks of the script I'm writing is like watching project scope creep in real-time.
Went from "This code complete the following three tasks:" to "This code complete the following three tasks:" in 10 minutes.
I really didn't want to look through my project's code to find which files used a specific function. So instead, I looked up how to just grep every single file in the entire project, looking for the function.
I can't tell if I'm supremely efficient or unbelievably lazy.
I just had to DM my power company on Twitter.
Because their entire phone system is down.
And I'm locked out of my account because they broke a database merge and none of my account info is correct/can be fixed.
I just want to pay my bill that may or may not exist.
After years of futzing with soundscapes and lighting in my office, it finally registered that I'm just trying to recreate my backyard from when I was a kid.
This morning: "Okay, after I brush my teeth, tasks A, B, C, then regroup."
While brushing teeth: "Good so far. After this, A..uhh..C... oh, D then regroup!"
After teeth...: "Okay, B, D, F then...wait, something's missing, let's start over. C, Q, D, right?"
