Almost 7 years ago, right after selling CoverWallet, I cofounded iPRONICS with José Capmany, Dani Perez and Ivana Gasulla. Today, I’m proud to share that iPRONICS has raised $125M, co-led by Maverick Silicon, Light Street and NVIDIA, bringing total funding to $175M+. I think it is the first relevant investment of NVIDIA in Spain. What may look like an overnight success was 6+ years in the making. Today, iPRONICS is a 100+ person company across Valencia and Silicon Valley, building silicon-photonics optical switches to network tens of thousands of GPUs inside AI data centers. Huge credit goes to Christian Dupont (CEO), Dani (CTO and cofounder), and the entire team for putting iPRONICS at the forefront of one of the most important categories in AI data center infrastructure. This milestone also marks a new chapter for me. After 6+ years as President and Board member, I’m stepping down from both roles, with Christian becoming President & CEO. I remain a significant shareholder and couldn’t be more excited about what comes next.
