Actual quotes from the GSX show floor:
"You guys are going to put a lot of people out of business." - actually, we buy companies. 25 acquisitions across my career. This is how fragmented industries get fixed.
"You're probably going to need executive protection yourself." - not cool.
"That H1 thing weighs too much. Just a body cam." - nope. Developed by our team exclusively for our own W-2 agents - and a key node feeding the Signals digital twin.
Here's what I know: the status quo is not keeping Americans safe - and the inefficiency of juggling multiple unaccountable vendors is driving CSOs and CFOs crazy.
If nobody is uncomfortable, nothing is changing. We didn't go to Atlanta to fit in.

What happened at GSX?!
We rolled into Atlanta as the "new kid on the block" against booths 2 and 3 times our size. They brought carpet. We brought the Force.
By Day 1, the phrase moving across the show floor was "go down the hall to the big black box." Inside it: the public debut of the nation's first Autonomous Security Force - machines, software, and licensed security agents. One force. One contract.
The star of the show? Signals - our live digital twin of a facility. Every machine, every agent, every detection feeding one operating picture in real time. I ran 7 demos over three days. All 7 times, the booth filled up. Standing room only.
Senior security leaders from multiple federal agencies, Fortune 500 industrials, healthcare, media, and aviation came through - several returned multiple times. Existing clients asked us to go bigger. New prospects skipped the small talk and went straight to "how fast can you cover multiple sites?"
And the skeptics? One industry leader publicly questioned our new technology - so we broke down the technical approach, and now we're getting on a call. That's exactly how it should work. Challenge us. We'll show you the math, the logic, the strategy.
The market has spoken - it wants what we built.
Now we execute.

It was never humans vs. machines. Regardless of what brainwashing Hollywood conducted.
That's the debate this industry has been having for a decade, and it's the wrong one. One camp says technology will replace security professionals. The other says nothing can replace human judgment. Both camps missed what's actually happening in the field - in the real world.
Machines are superhuman at exactly the things humans were never built for. Standing watch for ten hours without blinking. Perfect recall. Total consistency. No boredom, no fatigue, no bad days. Actually show up for work. Also, no whining - except maybe the motors.
Humans are irreplaceable at exactly the things machines can't touch. Judgment. Context. De-escalation. Reading a room. Making the call. The physical response.
So why did we build an industry that asks humans to do the machine work? Stare at walls of screens. Walk the same empty route at 3 a.m. Fight boredom for a living. And then we act surprised when attention fails and turnover explodes. You literally put the human in the wrong seat.
The answer was never to choose. It was to divide the labor and connect it. Machines watch. Everywhere, always. Software filters the noise and links every sensor, every camera, every post into one picture. Humans command. With judgment, at the moment it matters, with the full picture in hand. Hardware, software, humans. One force. One standard of accountability.
Six posts ago I said the obstacles are no longer technical. This is what I meant. The technology exists. The model exists. What's left is the will to run it, and the people willing to serve in a force built this way.
The countdown is over. The rest happens in person in the ATL.
Tuesday, September 15, 10 a.m. EDT, Eric Rose and I take the stage at GSX: "Robots and Humans in Security: Where the Lines Intersect and What Comes Next." One hour. Unscripted. No slides. What you're watching is a sneak peek at an early version of Signals - the intelligence layer of the Autonomous Security Force. A living digital twin of a protected site: every machine, every sensor, every agent, every perimeter in one operating picture, powering our remote monitoring operations with an eye-in-the-sky feature.
Machines alone don't secure anything. Software alone doesn't either. The answer is all 3 layers working as one - autonomous machines, AI-driven software, and licensed security agents - under one contract, with one accountable operation.

Hope is not a security strategy.
But look closely at how most operations actually run, and hope is doing a shocking amount of the work. Hope is working around the clock. Hope needs overtime and hazard pay.
Hope the camera caught it. Hope somebody was watching the screen when it mattered. Hope the alarm is false. It almost always is. Hope the overnight report reflects what actually happened. Hope tonight is quiet. Hope we cut the budget again and nothing bad happens.
Here's the trap nobody designed on purpose: when nearly every alert turns out to be nothing, ignoring alerts becomes the rational response. Operators aren't failing the system. The system trained them. And the one alert that matters arrives looking exactly like the ten thousand that didn't. This is dumb.
More sensors won't fix that. More cameras won't fix that. More alerts definitely won't fix that. Security doesn't fail from a lack of data anymore. It fails when human attention can't scale to meet it. Piling more noise onto exhausted people isn't a strategy. It's a countdown to a risk of genuine disaster.
The fix is a division of labor. Machines that never blink handle detection. Software kills the noise before it ever reaches a person. And trained professionals do the one thing only humans can do: apply judgment. And technology creates new types of alerts that have never existed before. Every event verified by a person. Every decision logged. Nothing "probably fine." Known.
That word, verified, is the whole difference. Hope reports up the chain as silence and crossed fingers. Verified intelligence reports up as evidence: what happened, who confirmed it, what was done. In minutes, not mornings.
Hope is a wonderful thing. It's just not a deliverable. It must be replaced with โVerified.โ
In Atlanta, we're going to show what a security operation looks like when nothing is left to hope. Come watch science fiction become reality.
