...but Cornyn did run. And Trump endorsed the challenger who would have a much harder general election road to hoe than the very safe incumbent. I don't know how you can possibly absolve him *entirely* of that.
The President deserves no blame for Paxton in Texas. Had Cornyn not run again, Paxton would have most likely been the nominee. But in NC, OH, and several other states, the President put his thumb on the scale for candidates who are not that good. This is the second time for NC

I agree, which is why I think there are (at least) five better options: blueshirtbanter.com/5-realis…
I don’t know that there’s any truth to the UPL to #NYR rumors but trading for another inconsistent G w/high cap & term when you already did that w/Korpisalo is reckless. The only scenario in which NYR should acquire a goalie is if it’s someone on an expiring or cap friendly deal

Garand is not clearing waivers again, I’ll tell you all that
It's still a small sample size, but I think Dylan Garand has already shown he can be the guy. As long as #NYR show up and give him some support, he's more than capable of giving them a chance to win. And on the nights they don't show up, which hasn't been many, he's done a good job of keeping them in games when he easily could've been hung out to dry. The NJD game, I'm not putting that on him. I've loved what I've seen from Garand so far and I'm more than comfortable handing him the net this season. Let him run with it.

When I'm asked these days what I fear the most on a domestic political front that not enough people are thinking about, the answer is generational warfare directed at Boomers as their political power wanes. I wouldn't be shocked at all if there's a revolt against what Boomers have constructed for themselves in living at the expense of others.
Around 2020, Millennials overtook Boomers as the largest generation. Our impact on national politics is only just beginning. Pushed too far, my generation will react by calling for cuts to benefits. I don't think these people are ready for that.

"X thing that I don't like is an orchestrated psyop" is possibly the laziest form of commentary
The whole boomer hate thing is an orchestrated psyop. If you are currently anti boomer you are being manipulated…

This is just embarrassingly incompetent "economic" reasoning. Tariffs affect a consumer surplus transfer to the beneficiary industry by specifically and intentionally raising prices. Wishcasting about some future price decrease in their wake is not a serious argument.
Tariffs of this sort don't aim at raising prices for their own sake, but on establishing incentives for investment in American industry which, once productive, has its own reasons to reduce prices. | @michaelbd nationalreview.com/corner/no…

A Scaramucci was a measure of time. A Zacharia is more ethereal; a measure of being, a disconnect between one’s story and one's purpose, the distance between what you’ve lived and what you're doing at present. Beautiful really.
