The market pays you twice for knowing when you're wrong: Once by stopping the loss. Again by freeing your capital for the next opportunity. A stop isn't just an exit. It's how you stop being wrong in one place long enough to be right somewhere else.

The same setup can be profitable in one market and terrible in another. Your setup is only half the strategy. Knowing the conditions where it has an edge is the other half.

A losing streak does not mean your trading system is broken. With a 50% win rate, the loss rate is 50%. The probability of one specific five-loss sequence is: 0.50^5 = 3.1% Risk a stop loss with a position size that survives the losing streaks the math says will eventually happen.

One trade can reward stupidity. Ten trades can reward luck. Hundreds of similar trades begin exposing something much harder to fake: system expectancy. The goal isn't to make every trade work. It's to build a strategy that becomes profitable when repeated enough times.
