Meet Buckie #G28416 💙🐾 Nearly two years have passed, and Buckie is still waiting for someone to see the incredible dog we know him to be. This sweet terrier mix has spent most of his life growing up in our adoption center, learning, healing, and holding onto hope that his person is still out there. With the support of our Pet Behavior Team, Buckie has made amazing progress. Beneath his shy exterior is a deeply loyal, affectionate dog who LOVES his people. Once Buckie feels safe and comfortable, he forms incredible bonds, and his favorite place to be is right by your side. He’s also a total goofball with a really silly personality that will keep you smiling. And when the day is done? Buckie is a TOTAL SNUGGLER who would love nothing more than to curl up on the couch with his favorite person. 🥺💙 Buckie is looking for a patient, experienced adopter who can give him the calm, consistent environment where he truly thrives. A quiet neighborhood, a fully fenced yard, and a home with older children would be ideal. And what about other dogs? Buckie does well with certain canine friends! He tends to prefer a good game of rough-and-tumble play, so if your dog likes to play that way too, they might just be a great match. Bring your pup down for a meet-and-greet and let Buckie see if he’s found a new playmate! 🐶🐾 Buckie may need a little time to warm up, but once he trusts you, you’ll discover just how much love, silliness, and snuggles this boy has to give. After nearly two years, he deserves the chance to trade shelter life for a couch to curl up on, a yard to explore, and people he can call his own. Could you be the one to finally show Buckie what forever feels like? 🏡💙 📩 Learn more by emailing [email protected] or visit our Port Washington, NY Adoption Center. #GetYourRescueOn #AdoptBuckie
