how "cool" you are really depends on how confident you are. nobody actually cares about what brands you wear, what items you have etc. but the energy you give off gives them a reason to care
its people noticing that youre a little more fidgety when certains topics come up. bit antsier when you get asked about some of the things you can't afford yet. embellishing details of your lifestyle
"what car do you drive?" nervous laugh. "corolla... ahah but it's reliable, ill probably upgrade later down the line-" could've just answered normally, but that second part suddenly showed that you're weird about it
people feel something "off" about you. then, you overcompensate even more to try and get them to not feel that way. endless cycle of self-sabotage driven by insecurity
how you feel about yourself is how others feel about you. you were always the man by default. everyone thought you were chill until you felt the need to manufacture a perception
people either like you because they see a part of themselves in you, see a part of you that is lacking within them, or you have something they can use
not having a why will always lead to corruption
for example: if you only want to make money for the sake of making money, you will become corrupt. because you dont have a why, or a deeper mission, or something youre actually good at
but making money as a byproduct of a bigger mission ie: being the best trader, getting your product to 500k users, being the best athlete, providing for others etc .. doesnt lead to corruption
thats why the fake course gurus and doxxed scammers have extravagant lifestyles while real business operators dont
you see it so much these days. there are so many rich young guys who blow up on the internet but they arent actually good at anything. they are not great or inspiring, they arent exceptional athletes, they arent high iq intelligent, they dont have original opinions, they dont entertain or tell a good story etc
they are just normal guys and larps
in fact, they even harp on about the fact that they arent special. because that gives them more mass appeal
for the most part these types end up corrupt and lustful because they dont have anything to strive toward. nothing to be better at. some of them dont even believe in God lmao. which is crazy to me - how can you have that empty of a life? like, you arent actually good at anything… and you dont believe in God?
i guess the lesson here is that you need a deeper reason. something to get good at, be talented, be excellent at something.. take care of others
bc when your entire agenda is just to make money then youre basically telling the entire world that theres nothing you wouldnt do for money
