FAA bans single-pilot operations on eight Citation models: Greg Biffle crash is quoted in document
The FAA has prohibited single-pilot operations on eight Cessna Citation jet models, ranging from the early 500 series to the Citation Encore+, citing safety and regulatory-compliance concerns.
The document (link below) also notes a "review of CE-500 accidents over the last 18 years", including the Cessna 550 Citation II business crash in Statesville, North Carolina, last December (which is currently under investigation)
Seven people were killed in the crash, including former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife, and his two children.
