Gold Smuggling Attempt Foiled at IGI Airport, Delhi!
Delhi Customs officers intercepted a passenger arriving from Sharjah on 10.10.2026 and recovered 241 grams of gold (99.31% purity) ingeniously concealed as wire linings in the corners of two trolley bags.
The recovered gold, valued at approximately ₹35.21 lakh, was seized under the Customs Act, 1962, for further investigation.
Delhi Customs remains vigilant in its efforts to curb smuggling and strengthen border enforcement.

As part of Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat Sankalp Abhiyaan, NACIN Vadodara conducted an awareness session on the NDPS Act and prevention of drug abuse for 170 students and Staff members of St. Mary’s School, Gorwa, Vadodara.
The interactive session sensitised students to the harmful consequences of drug abuse, relevant legal provisions and the importance of making informed, healthy and responsible choices. The programme encouraged the youth to become active partners in building a safe, aware and drug-free society.

Drone Smuggling Case Booked at IGI Airport
On 25.09.2026, based on the intelligence developed by Customs officers 3 Indian passengers who arrived from Hong Kong via Vietnam (Flights VN-593 & VN-981) at Terminal-3 were intercepted while crossing the Green Channel.
Detailed baggage search led to recovery of 10 professional-grade Autel Robotics MDX-1 drones with complete accessories (controllers, gimbals with camera, cables, propellers, joysticks, etc.) and an iPhone 18 Pro Max.
Chartered engineer assessment confirmed these to be professional-grade drones with thermal imaging and laser range finders are Military/Defence grade UAV requiring mandatory DGCA registration for each drone. Total market value assessed by the Chartered Engineer is ₹1,03,55,900.
Passengers apprehended and the Goods seized u/s 110(1), Customs Act, 1962. Further investigation underway.
