We’re thinking of Maricarmen and standing in solidarity with tenants across Spain. Maricarmen could be any of us. When the interests of speculators matter more than everyday tenants, our homes and our lives are put at risk. That’s why we organize—for housing, dignity, and justice for all. #TodosSomosMaricarmen

Local leadership has statewide impacts. We look forward to working with whoever is elected to advance housing justice across California.
We're dissapointed in @CAGovernor's decision to veto AB 1166, which was an opportunity to help CAdevelop a comprehensive plan to address our housing and homelessness crises.
As the world’s fourth-largest economy, California should be investing at the scale this crisis demands. Yet the state spends less than 0.5% of its annual budget on housing and homelessness solutions.
We will keep fighting to ensure California has the resources, accountability, and roadmap needed to ensure that all Californians have a home.

@SacBee_News: Prop 45 will "rewrite environmental regulations to favor corporations over community groups and anyone else who might worry about what’s being built in their area, under the garb of affordability" sacbee.com/news/politics-gov…"
Proposition 3 will appear on the November 2026 ballot, asking California voters to permanently extend higher income tax rates on top earners. First enacted in 2012 and renewed in 2016, these rates make sure our schools are funded and protect healthcare and essential community services. Without this measure, the current tax rates will expire after 2030, cutting state revenue by billions annually and threatening funding for critical programs. #yeson3ca

"Each time we were told to wait for a better moment, and each time the people told to wait were gone before it came. There is never a good moment to ask the city’s prosperity to house the people who make it possible — which is why this one will have to do."
