Last week, on the 25th anniversary of 9/11, @TeamProject351 young leaders showed the power of service.
Secretary Goralnick spoke with @homebaseprogram COO Michael Allard about how Project 351 Ambassadors from across Massachusetts came together to honor those we lost and send care packages to active-duty troops.

25 years ago, an act of terror resulted in unimaginable loss, trauma, & grief.
That's why I'm so grateful for the compassionate response of our neighbors & communities, year after year.
TY @HomeBaseProgram & @TeamProject351 for hosting us for a day of service for 9/11 families.

On the 25th anniversary of September 11th, Secretary Goralnick joined @homebaseprogram, @TeamProject351, and volunteers on the Rose Kennedy Greenway for their annual 9/11 Service Project.
@MassGovernor Healey, Senator Markey, Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley, Ambassador Kennedy, and State Representative Joe McGonagle, spoke with volunteers who honored the lives lost and the service of so many by turning remembrance into action—building care packages for those who are serving overseas, local veterans in need, and writing messages of support to our troops.
We’re grateful to Home Base and Project 351 for bringing people together on this National Day of Service and Remembrance and creating a meaningful opportunity to give back to those who serve.

What a day. ❤️
This was my first Run to Home Base, and after spending the past year working alongside so many of the veterans, service members, and families we serve, crossing that finish line into Fenway carried deep meaning. It was a powerful reminder of why this work matters and of the incredible community that comes together to support it.
This year's event was our biggest yet, bringing together thousands of runners, walkers, volunteers, donors, and supporters in support of Home Base and our commitment to providing world-class clinical care to veterans, service members, and their families at no cost to them.
One of my favorite parts of the day was talking with participants~ vets, families, volunteers, and supporters and hearing the stories that brought them there. Every bib represented someone with a story. Some ran in honor of someone they love. Some in memory of someone they lost.
Others simply wanted to stand beside those who have served.
Over the coming weeks, we'll be sharing some of those conversations because they capture the heart of this mission far better than statistics ever could.
To everyone who ran, walked, volunteered, donated, cheered from the sidelines, or supported this event in any way: THANK YOU. You helped make this an unforgettable day, and more importantly, you helped ensure that this work continues.
The race is over. The mission continues. ❤️🇺🇸
