Saudi Arabia grounded 100% of commercial flights to northern Yemen for *7 years*. For the next few years, it allowed just ONE flight route, then bombed Sana'a Airport when a plane defied its blockade this past July. Yemeni retaliation followed.
Yemen has grounded nearly HALF of Saudi Arabia's Flights
According to data from the aviation analysis firm "Cirium," between October 8th-19th, over 45% of the scheduled flights from Saudi Arabian airports were canceled.
Out of a total of 12,195 flights during this period, 5,547 were affected by disruptions.

The Yemenis on the frontlines fighting for national liberation and independence are not "Houthis". They are Yemenis, drawn from different tribes, villages, and regions, with differing political affiliations. Some belong to the GPC, others are socialists or nationalists. Some have no political affiliations at all. Some are Zaydi, and others are Shafi'i.
What unites them is their love for their homeland, their determination to defend its sovereignty, and their belief in the revolutionary project guiding state affairs in Sana'a.

The Saudi religion is very flexible. Historically, it declared other Sunnis kuffar and distinguished Yemenis from Muslims in its texts to justify expansion. In 1967 they considered defending the Zaydi imamate as jihad, now they deem genociding Zaydi Yemenis as mandatory jihad.

BREAKING: Egypt officially deploys troops to Saudi Arabia to fight Yemen's Houthis, with the National Defense Council approving it, and parliament holding an emergency session this afternoon, per MP Bakry.
It makes Egypt the largest Arab state to commit troops against the Houthis.
