Coldcard's RNG bug resulted in drained savings for people. It's really unfortunate for those effected. It's ultimately a firmware failure. It's worth remembering, Bitcoin wasn't hacked. The protocol rules haven't moved. The wallet was supposed to catch weak randomness before it became a problem. It didn't. Seeds ended up predictable instead of truly random, and nobody noticed for years. Engineering failure. Not a Bitcoin failure. Early cars had constant accidents. No seatbelts. No airbags. Brakes that failed. Nobody stopped driving. They fixed the cars. Self custody is on the same road. The idea hasn't changed. Hold your own keys, answer to no one. The hardware around it is still maturing. More scrutiny is the result. Every wallet maker now has to actually audit their RNG. It will improve. Every hard failure becomes the standard everyone builds against next. Self custody isn't the problem. Bad engineering is. It will get better from here.

Bitcoin is easy. 1. Exchange the weak money for strong money. 2. Self custody your money.

Most modern problems come from broken inputs. Broken money distorts the economy. Broken light distorts human biology. Fix the inputs and the downstream problems begin to disappear.

As an optometrist, I stopped just testing eyes. I started studying light. Because light is biological information. If you: • Struggle to sleep • Feel wired at night • Get digital eye strain Look at your light environment first. Morning sun. Dim evenings. Intentional screen use. Ancient physiology. Modern chaos.

Who let the dog’s out….difficulty adjustment style 👌⚡️

Okay buddy. Come here. Sit. Good boy. So imagine we’re playing a game. You and a whole bunch of other dogs are digging holes in the yard trying to find buried tennis balls. Every time one of you finds a tennis ball, you all bark and celebrate. That’s like a new Bitcoin block being found. Now here’s the rule: The game wants one tennis ball to be found every 10 minutes. Not too fast. Not too slow. Just right. But what happens if too many dogs join? Let’s say suddenly 1,000 super energetic golden retrievers show up. Now tennis balls are being found every 2 minutes. That’s too fast! Zoom zoom zoom! So the game says: “Whoa there, pups. I’m going to bury the tennis balls deeper.” Now digging is harder. That’s Bitcoin raising the difficulty. Now imagine most of the dogs go home for dinner. Only a few tired pups are digging. Now it takes 25 minutes to find a tennis ball. Too slow! So the game says: “Okay sweethearts, I’ll bury the tennis balls closer to the surface.” That’s Bitcoin lowering the difficulty. (We are here currently) So, boy, every 2,016 blocks (about every two weeks): Bitcoin checks: “Are blocks being found too fast or too slow?” If Too fast, it makes the math puzzle harder If Too slow, it makes the math puzzle easier The goal is always: One block every ~10 minutes No matter how many computers (dogs) are digging. If less miners are mining, mining automatically becomes cheaper and more profitable for those who are still mining. Thus, the “economic problem” you pointed out does not actually exist. Make sense big fella?

Well said 🔥 & just as we Bitcoiners push hard on differentiation between Bitcoin & “Crypto” - we now need to ensure people can clearly identify & separate those disgusting & evil individuals by association from the best open source utility for a prosperous future we all have.
Bitcoin is a neutral, open-source public utility. Like fire, water, or the internet. It is not a person. It is not an institution. It has no secrets. Corrupt people do not get to rob humanity of our chance to fix the mess we inherited. Bitcoin is the solution, not the problem.

“It’s going to crush gold. It’s going to crush silver. It’s going to crush every stock known to man.” Bitcoin isn’t competing inside the fiat system. It’s replacing it. Especially in red years — Bitcoiners build. That’s where the real progress happens. ⚡️ @ChrisMc_L @hodleye

Fiat tries to stabilise prices by distorting money. Bitcoin stabilises money and lets prices move freely. #Bitcoin #freemarket #money

A nice integration of Zaprite's WooCommerce plugin by @Emerge_21 👀 @21_STACKER looks like a great way to help people make their first Lightning transaction—and potentially win some sats too! 21stacker.com/

@21Stacker was born from this thinking — mirroring where attention, culture, and participation live in fiat land, and rebuilding it natively on Bitcoin. Bitcoin isn’t adopted by explanation alone. It’s adopted through experience. ⚡️ 21stacker.com

What is the free market value if everyone lived in the fiat system & you didn’t? How would you help them out of it?
