One of the great ironies of life is that Donald Trump will not win a Nobel Peace Prize despite demanding one, but whomever roots out his war crimes and civil right's violations will. Human Rights Lawyer Navi Pillay Is Awarded Nobel Peace Prize nytimes.com/live/2026/10/09/…

BREAKING: Analysts are calling this the biggest protest in American history. It’s far bigger than any rally Donald Trump has ever had. This is Boston. Rallies just like this are happening in cities big and small all around the country. Let’s go.

The RBA is powerless to stop the supply shocks that are causing today's inflation, writes Stephen Long. At the same time, it is under attack for placing a heavy burden on workers and indebted households who played little part in creating the problem. trib.al/lmOBrHD

The High Court has recognised what the physics makes clear: you can’t export coal & pretend the climate damage disappears. Whether fossil fuels are burnt in Australia or overseas, the consequences reach the Great Barrier Reef & communities around 🇦🇺. Yet the Albanese govt continues to approve new coal & gas projects. We should stop expanding fossil fuels, use what we have for the transition & make sure Australians get a fair return from existing projects. theguardian.com/environment/…

Australia’s political lobbying rules are broken. Nearly two-thirds of registered lobbyists in Canberra are former government representatives - former ministers, advisers or party officials. These are people who’ve spent years building relationships and gathering knowledge on the public purse, and are now able to sell access to the highest bidder. Next month, I’ll introduce my National Lobbying Act as part of an effort to put a stop to this and to clean up politics. It would create a lobbyist register capturing both in-house corporate lobbyists and industry associations, while also closing the revolving door through enforceable bans on former ministers cashing in on their contacts. Australians don’t send politicians to Canberra to protect big coal, big gambling, or the big banks. They send us there to stand up for our communities and act in their best interests. It’s time to clean up politics.

There's increasing evidence that the Exclusive Brethren not only had a significant physical presence in seats like Kooyong in the 2025 federal election. They also employed right-wing activists, including neo-Nazis and former Proud Boys, to disrupt election activities and campaigning, We have to get to the bottom of this - including the links between the Brethren, neo-Nazis, and the Coalition. Australians deserve to have confidence in the integrity of election campaigns and to feel safe participating in them. As member of the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters, I'll be supporting its Chair, Jerome Laxale, in asking the Exclusive Brethren's world leader Bruce Hales - and his son Gareth - to appear before the committee's inquiry into the 2025 Federal Election. theage.com.au/politics/feder…

I was asked if the Government would take up the crossbench bill implementing the Red Lines package. The truth is we don’t need the credit, we just want the outcome: an end to Australia funding, arming or investing in illegal settlements, war crimes or genocide #auspol

Independent candidates who devastated the Liberals at the 2022 election campaigned on climate, integrity and gender equity. Labor has waved through fossil fuel developments, the NACC has been a farce and the list of Labor’s gender blunders is growing. trib.al/SVS05Hh

Bravo. ABC finally discovers the greatest gravy train in Australian history! #aukus
AUKUS is not about keeping Australians safe, it is about keeping the pockets of government insiders full. Politicians for Liberal and Labor are leaving Parliament only to make a killing lobbying for foreign arms corporations. Watch the full story on ABC's 4 corners tonight.

This video is not authentic footage from NASA's Curiosity rover; such viral night sky depictions are composites of daytime rover images and Earth-based starfields. Real rover night images show only faint stars. youtube.com/watch?v=FRm_tS… planetary.org/space-images/t…
