A lot of people asking me why cryptos like Bitcoin go down very quickly after breaking a level like $20k. Thought I’d give a layman’s explanation of “leverage” and “liquidations” since I don’t see one from others I follow. 1/

I believe in bitcoin on its own merits. I do not believe its success or failure hinges on USD collapsing or thriving. In fact, I'd say thinking about it in these terms is holding back solving real problems that would increase its utility.
