how to make AI creative: a guide and a method
The first change was small: I stopped asking AI for “original” ideas and asked what people actually find interesting and enjoyable. The three-message process explores possibilities, develops alternatives, and only then chooses what to build. Here’s how the process works, what came out of it, and where it still fell short.

Napoleon Total War was one of my all time favorite games
and I took a few hours to build a prototype with opus 5.5
I am kinda shocked how well it turned out after just a few iterations
we truly live in amazing times
So much compute is coming online in this last 3 months of this year that it literally is going to near double existing compute
We are in for a wild ride!

With Opus 5.5 it is clear that “taste” is no longer just a human domain
Just as the jaggedness of agents smoothing out from march-nov 2025, I think the taste jaggedness will smooth out by the end of this year and the year of 2027 will be of the “idea person”
And the idea aspect of it might as resist for a while as there won’t ever be enough compute or need to create every possible idea in the foreseeable future, at least not in our lifetime
But ideas of people will need to grow exponentially in quality I think which is different than “taste” I believe
More akin to becoming an artist or enlightened
I try to think through these vast transformations and share my thoughts in my get amplified course and in weekly meetings
