Kinda grateful that almost everyone has been having a not great writing week. Shared misery is bittersweet. 🥲
I just returned to finals week from my sisters wedding in Mexico, and the urge to pull a Dumbledore in the Chamber of Secrets and cancel exams is STRONG. Do I dare???
What's an apprioriate/professional way to say "Sorry I've been MIA for the last few months, but I'm kinda back!"?
Having the option to teach remotely means I get to still give lectures today despite my immune system trying to unalive me...yay!(?)
Apparently you can rest and feel a little better and then all of a sudden feel worse than before. Healing isn't linear??? I hate it here, cancel subscription please. 😒
Like getting on medical leave and immediately losing access to university health services and primary doctor 🤡

It's finals weeks and my laptop just died in the middle of grading. Just refuses to turn on anymore. Guess it wanted to match the ~vibes~ 🙃

The US judicial system worked today. The constitution protects the sanctity of guns and property above life itself.
The Kyle Rittenhouse trial is a disgrace in every way.
I'll just say that my 17 year old brother went to a protest with peaceful intentions and no weapons, and the entire time I was scared for his safety as an Arab-Latino man.
We do not live in the same America as Kyle.
None of this is Mazen's fault but I blame him wholeheartedly. @TheAmazenGrace you dumb weeaboo (is there an Arab version or do we take the L here and lump ourselves with them?)
