I hope @DrAllyLouks is proud of us. Although tbh some of the most fascinating queer smell tropes are the positive ones. Like the person rhapsodising about “sweet supple estrogenated t-girl smell”. Or how everyone’s into armpits now.

Psst @DrAllyLouks I’m not saying you should go there yourself (certainly you’ve enough on your post PhD agenda), but … if you find yourself with queer students interested Smell Analysis, my goodness there’s a lot to mine there.

Children of asylum seekers, who grew up here as our friends and neighbours, are being blocked from university just so Labor and the Coalition can get a cheap political hit. So much human potential wasted. Let’s be better, and welcome them instead. abc.net.au/news/2024-11-24/y…

No this actually happened. Even years AFTER World War II ended, the US government punished people who had expressed “premature anti-Nazi sympathies.” Meaning they punished people for having correctly opposed the Nazis before the US had officially joined the war against the Nazis.
Akilah Hughes@AkilahObviously8 Nov 2024
Starting to think people probably did oppose the Nazis but were shouted down for being too mean about it.

The thing about Australia is that we're a high immigration country that is geographically very isolated, which means there's a huge diversity of culinary traditions that almost immediately begin diverging into uniquely Australian variants - and a lot of these variations are good.
