I don't really chase any media coverage these days, so when I get a review for one of my products and it's this positive, it feels special.

"Hi, do you want to be on our recommended providers list in return for giving us a discount code?" That's the email I got from a fairly large photography company today. How can I be recommended when I've never even spoken to them?

Am I the only person that thinks "ChatGPT wrote this" every time they see the word "elevate" in a tweet/ad/product description from a company?

The absolute irony of @RoyalMail saying I've put my claim in too late for a Special Delivery refund when they took 13 days to respond to the complaint (they aim for a 2 day response). 🙃

It's frustrating that when you try to log on to your business bank and it doesn't work, the only way to find out that the issue is with the bank is to visit their Twitter help profile, then view "with replies" tweets to see a stream of people that have the same issue.

I understand that bank websites are vast and complicated, but they can and will fail, and customers shouldn't be expected to jump through hoops to know that they have an issue. Put a notification bar on the site. Put out a tweet on the help page. Make life easier for everyone.

My electricity smart meter stopped working 3 months ago today, and I've been waiting over 2 months for someone at the @OctopusEnergy metering team to arrange powercycling my meters. I like Octopus, but it's frustrating to have such a poor experience and be forced to complain.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease, within 3 hours of this tweet I've had a call from the metering team.

Someone unsubscribing from my newsletter with “did not subscribe to this list” as the reason after they definitely did and have received emails for over 2 years.

"From 2 January 2024, we may require customers to provide proof of non-delivery from the intended recipient to support a claim for loss compensation." I am FASCINATED about how I will have to prove to the @RoyalMail that something didn't arrive. Photo of a doorstep?

It took me 3 attempts for claims to understand that their own GPS and photo showed the last non-delivery was to the wrong address, I think this will go poorly. And if you go to the link provided for more info it tells you to come back on January 2nd. business.help.royalmail.com/…

HMRC sending out letters in June to warn me about changes to late VAT submissions penalties that happened in January. The irony.

The power of generative fill in Photoshop really is amazing considering how relatively-new this tech is. To expand this scene so widely in a few seconds but still look kind of real is just crazy.

Having fun playing around with generative fill in #photoshop, it sure would be nice to have a little lake in the field.

In the example above the area that has been generated is easy to spot, but in this one I don't think people would realise a lot of it is AI generated since the background is blurred and less detail is required. Only the bottom middle 3rd of this is image is real.

My compensation claim with @RoyalMailHelp has been rejected because I don't have proof of postage. Which would be understandable... except the tracking shows it was received at the North West Super Hub, and then Glasgow. Are tracking points not proof they received the package?

There are days when it annoys me that I have to stand outside to get signal for an OTP from @santanderuk, and then there are days when it’s not so bad. Even so, banks should have a solution available to people with no mobile signal to be able to securely transfer money.

"How do you feel?" "Terrible." "Yeah, you look it." #ThanksDad

I've received 3 emails from @grind in the past 24 hours. One was a regular marketing email at 9pm, then one at 9am saying they missed me offering 15% off my next order, now one at 1pm offering 20% off. At this rate they'll be offering me free coffee in a few days.

Another look at the #lakedistrict through the AI lens of #stablediffusion. The fun thing for me is trying to work out which parts of the Lakes that it's taken inspiration from, there's often a "that looks a bit like..." element to each generated image.
