I love how many films exist. There's so many amazing films from every era, country, and genre, it feels like an endless exploration of humanity through film. The more films I watch the more I appreciate life, and the more I live, more I love films.

Amazing stuff: The National Film Archive of Japan just uploaded 29 films shot by the Lumière company in the late 1800s (Meiji 30s). Rare scenes of Japanese life including farmers, people walking city streets, and—maybe most importantly—Ainu villages. Wow.
