ALT Janet Daby's statement Southeastern's timetable. "From today Southeastern’s new timetable takes effect. Since the December timetable was implemented my constituents have had to endure constant delays on Southeastern. Southeastern has said that this timetable would be more reliable and reduce congestion. It is clear that reliability has got worse, not better. The fact that there was no formal consultation makes the whole situation deeply unsatisfactory. It is encouraging that there will now be a direct off-peak service to Charing Cross on the Bexleyheath Line, Monday to Saturday alongside additional peak services on weekdays on the Sidcup line. Yet these changes show that the timetable that was imposed upon users was flawed. Despite repeated warnings of overcrowding and the imposition of changing at London Bridge for the elderly & vulnerable, it was implemented without consultation. I am committed to improving the transport links in Lewisham East"
