This is a former teacher and failed school board trustee candidate publicizing a teacher’s name and workplace to target them for harassment or worse. This endangers the teacher AND the school.
@PeelSchools, @PDSBDirector, please take action! #OntEd
What a fantastic teacher! She just doesn't stop!! 🌈

Stop calling it absenteeism! Front line workers aren't coming into work because they ARE SICK, and a lot of them are taking that time unpaid, because the @fordnation refuses to implement paid sick days in Ontario!

How come everyone is talking about re-opening schools for kids' mental health and no one is talking about maybe not grading them during a global pandemic? I guarantee you that worrying about scoring 90 on a test while a loved one is hospitalized is not so great for mental health!

This can’t be for real! I hope he has a new appreciation for every educator who has had to “pivot” between in-person, remote, and hybrid learning multiple times this year with no notice, prep time, or a staff of people rushing to get the tech they need. #OntEd #onpoli

the provincial police order is yet another invitation for our neighbours to call the police on us. in addition to cops looking for us on patrol, they're also racing to answer Karen's call, as they always do
Miss Dee retweeted
the police have always maintained that their stops are never "random". when they say "we won't do random stops," they're saying every time they stop someone, it will be for a good reason
the word "random" is not in the government order. this isn't the victory people think it is

Before we rejoice and celebrate police statements, remember to ask:
WHO gets to decide what is RANDOM?

Enhanced restrictions may be needed in Ontario, but we must be cautious of more policing.
Low-income racialized people (many are essential workers) have a history of being over-policed. They've also been hardest hit by #COVID19.
We can't police our way out of this pandemic.

I'll never understand how we got to a place in this pandemic where we are pushing more policing before paid sick leave.

.@SylviaJonesMPP says #POLICE have temp power to stop "anyone" that is outside of their residence asking them where they are going and where they live. Has Jones considered how RACIAL PROFILING may play into this? BIPOC folks more likely to be 'on the streets' heading to work!

Watch how quickly and how hot they come for Black & Indigenous women the minute they aren't nice, or mess up, or simply do something folks don't like.
That should tell you to how they structure their anti-racism values and beliefs.

To the teachers who think racism doesn't happen in your school. Perhaps it's because the people most acutely aware, the ones experiencing it, aren't safe to call it out.
White Educators, if your attempts to prove that you're "anti-racist" include acting while ignoring what your racialized colleagues are saying... you're doing it wrong.

Ed Min @Sflecce accused of scrubbing social media of critical comments
“It’s definitely censorship. He’s silencing the voices of the people he is supposed to serve & represent in government. It’s not OK” said Gr. 11 student @cmsmolenaars #onted #Onpoli

Replying to @PeelSchools
I understand that @PeelSchools is just the messenger, and I appreciate that, but I’m legitimately curious why the board and the government always talk about prioritizing student mental health, but they can’t just let a snow day be a snow day.
