You know that scripture is full of demonic possession, apocalyptic monsters, and plagues yeah? Engaging horror that honestly depicts evil (and the fight against it) isn’t automatically a contradiction of “do not fear.” Context and discernment matter more than a just banning it.
Christians shouldn’t be a fan of horror.
You shouldn’t be reading books, or watching movies, or listening to true crime podcasts that make you scared.
How many times do we read throughout Scripture: “Do not fear.”
And yet, we purposefully consume content that makes us scared. This is a direct contradiction of Jesus’ commands to not be fearful or be anxious about anything.

I went to three Targets this past week and all of them have pretty much just gotten rid of NECA stuff. Safe to stay they’re dumping them. They’ve dedicated NECA to a small end cap shelf essentially. I don’t buy NECA anymore but it’s honestly really sad to see.

Bit of a display hack here but if you guys want more 80s figures for your 1/6 displays, NECA Toys’s Gremlin figures make for great scale with 1/6 figures! Even the accessories are in great scale.
Modern horror just sucks now in my opinion and what A24 has done with Crystal Lake is just degrade a beloved horror IP by bringing it down to their level. It’s a complete misunderstanding of what Friday The 13th is and I’d rather go back to the franchise being practically dead.
