I am not going away @vladtenev @DanGallagher AMC Entertainment does not consent to Robinhood creating Stock Tokens to replicate AMC shares in the United States (the SEC requires you to get our consent, or failing that, at least with us to stand down). They are fake, synthetic shares, which could impact our capital structure. AMC should control our financial destiny, not Robinhood.

There are several flaws in this @NYT piece about Jeffrey Epstein's death. The biggest, however, is the reporters ignore the fact that someone else didn't need to get into that unit to kill him. The unit was filled with inmates capable of harming him -- and they were coming and going all day and even into the night. Epstein had a number on his back from the day he got there. The cameras weren't recording. It's simple to just leave a door unlocked and pay someone already on the inside to kill him. It remains frustrating that the Times fails to adequately address (with its enormous resources that I don't have) -- the massive corruption and fabricated reports in that facility that happened that night. The Times would have you believe that it was just accidental that he was left alone in his cell, and that killing him would have required a massive number of people. That simply is not true. youtu.be/uTsI2OTeSxk?si=HWMW… via @YouTube

I’m ok. Make no mistake: this is an attempt to target political enemies and weaponize federal law enforcement. For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. I will not be silenced.

Hello again @vladtenev and @DanGallagher. So what’s Robinhood’s answer? You claim to “support” the SEC’s new rules on Stock Tokenization efforts, as they apply in the United States. Internationally, are you going to respect those same principals as laid out be the SEC? Or shame, shame, shame, will your off-shore operation in far-off Jersey be a sleazy bastardization that makes a total mockery of what the SEC has demanded as being the right thing to do?

If Maduro and his wife deserve 20 years each for outlandish, unproven torture claims, how many years does George Bush deserve for this?
Following an FBI investigation with our interagency partners, this morning ousted President of Venezuela Nicolás Maduro is now charged by superseding indictment with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Torture — also charging former First Lady of Venezuela Cilia Flores de Maduro with one count of Conspiracy to Commit Torture and one count of Narcoterrorism. As alleged in the indictment, the Maduro regime subjected over a dozen American citizens to torture while held in custody of the Venezuelan government - including drugs, electrocution, sexual assault, and more. They will now answer for their crimes. These charges follow the historic law enforcement operation proudly supported by this @FBI in January, which arrested Maduro and executed one of the most daring FTOCs in US history, returning him and his wife to the United States - an operation which required months of coordination, detailed planning, and seamless execution across multiple components of the federal government led by the Department of War. Today’s charges reflect the commitment from this FBI and this Department of Justice to accountability, the rule of law, and the protection of U.S. national security. Thank you to @NewYorkFBI who brilliantly led this investigation with our partners. -DKP🇺🇸

$GME The short squeeze happened only after big money piled in. Retail can’t move stocks like that and Wall Street knows it They did pile in when they realized how much shorts had underestimated retail’s love for the company and the stock. During Former Archegos CEO Bill Hwang’s criminal trial his former head trader even admitted retail didn’t cause a price spike “𝐈𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐨𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐤𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟐𝟕𝐭𝐡 𝐰𝐚𝐬𝐧’𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐠𝐨𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐆𝐒𝐗 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐫𝐢𝐩?” 𝐁𝐞𝐫𝐤𝐞 𝐚𝐬𝐤𝐬. “𝐈 𝐝𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭,” 𝐓𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬…” @HDFCSKY @ReesePolitics @ryancohen
Archegos Founder Bill Hwang has apparently not told his defense attorney that retail investors don't move stocks - big money does. But Hwang's former head trader William Tomita knows that. This from today's cross examination of Tomita, a key prosecution witness who made a plea deal and is trying to stay out of prison. "Isn’t it a fact that the root cause of the spike on the 27th wasn’t Archegos but the retail investors who were buying GSX and causing it to rip?” Berke asks. “I don’t have any basis for thinking it was those retail traders who caused that,” Tomita responds." ##### And this exchange about short seller Carson Block targeting GSX - a stock Archegos had a big position in "...The jury’s back, and Berke asks Tomita about comments he made about Carson Block’s short position on GSX in December 2020. Tomita is shown an email in which he said Block is “just making up random stuff and tweeting about it.” Tomita says on the stand that he didn’t remember saying that and that he never read much of what Block wrote. “I just took Bill’s word that it was bogus,” Tomita says. Under earlier questioning by prosecutors, Tomita described a “Herculean defense” of GSX in October 2020 against the short sellers whom Hwang termed “bad actors.” Chief among these was Block’s Muddy Waters Research..." bloomberg.com/news/live-blog…

Woah. The Squeeze series is officially a triplet. Nectaron Squeeze is crafted with Citra and Lotus playing the background, with soft notes of tangerine juice, red berry jam, and orange creamsicle, while Nectaron propels sweet aromas of citrus popsicles, donut peaches, and pineapple soda. If you haven't had our Squeeze series, it uses a variety of cold-side processes to steer clear of piney bitterness and straight into the land of juice. This beer is a juicy gem. 🧃😎

KILL YOUR FUCKING LAWN LET'S GOOO
Minnesota will pay you up to $400 to turn your lawn into wildflowers. The program is called Lawns to Legumes. Since 2019, Minnesotans have used it to plant more than 12,500 patches of native flowers, clover and pollinator habitat. That's over 20 million square feet, in every one of the state's 87 counties. It's built for pollinators in trouble, like monarchs and the rusty patched bumble bee. That's Minnesota's state bee, and it's federally endangered. Renters can apply too, not just homeowners. And people want in. The first time around, more than 12,000 Minnesotans applied for about 2,300 grants. Applications for spring 2027 are open now through November 30. If you live in Minnesota, apply.

Squeezing every last bit of autumnal refreshment we can from our brew kettles. October Squeeze is a Pale Ale crafted with a classic duo of kettle hops and dry-hops. Citra and Simcoe burst with aromas of mango, grapefruit, and lemon before finishing with notes of pine and fresh-cut grass. It happens at night, noticed in the morning, speckled with dew; the air is cool. The bees are ferociously unconcerned with anything lacking petals. The tree at the edge of the yard, woken from its summer stupor, is about to ignite. This is how it goes, slowly wading through the weight of August, until, as if snapped out of a dream, branches bend with fruit, fields cover themselves in gold, and birds scatter like ash from the smoldering forest. October is here.
