MetaMask as a hot wallet for small to medium size is fine. You hold the seed. You sign.
Putting $ETH into the products they push on the platform is not.
Swaps, staking, earn, bridges, “portfolio” yield. Those run on their infrastructure and partners. This incident is the point: operator hit, validators exited, users told wallets are fine.
Hot wallet ≠ their product stack.
Seed stays offline for large size. MetaMask only for what you can afford to lose if the browser or the machine is hit. Never deposit into their staking, earn, or swap routing just because the button is on the home screen.
Pulsechain users unaffected.

Explorer can show the hash while the wallet still says pending. That is not “PulseChain is down”, that is two different RPCs.
Public endpoints take indexer and scraper traffic. Your nonce waits in the same queue.
A node is your own copy. A reserved RPC is the middle option if you do not want the hardware.
