The conclusion is spot on!
Something unusual happened today⚠️ I went to a community in Bokkos, Plateau State, that was recently attacked by Fulani Islamic terrorists. I was crossing from one family affected by the attacks to another to offer my little support We were using bike, so after we left the first house, going to the next, while I was on the bike, one of my phones fell off. I was without my phone today for about 9 hours. I thought I had lost it, but just as I was about to leave the community, they brought a message that an elder wanted to see me. They had picked up my phone and taken it to an elder in the community. Surprisingly, it was a 19 year old boy who found the phone. His uncle was also killed by the terrorists A young Nigerian picks an iPhone 15 Pro and takes it to an elder in the community to be returned to the owner? This should be normal, but not in today's society. I learned a lesson from this “Being a terrible or a good person is a choice; your situation is not an excuse” ⚠️‼️ This guy had all the excuses or justifications not to return this phone, but he did🫡

A President and the Endless Question of His Past As a citizen of no other country, who has never sought foreign citizenship even when doing so became fashionable, my loyalty to Nigeria and my faith in her destiny remain unshaken. Yesterday, 30th of August, being Sunday, I fervently prayed for our nation and for those entrusted with the solemn responsibility of leadership. I found myself deeply saddened by the direction in which our country is heading. It is profoundly embarrassing that we have reached a point where a sitting President is asking a foreign court to withhold records concerning his past, particularly records relating to matters of legitimate public interest. Leadership, in my humble view, demands the courage and humility to confront one’s history — to acknowledge mistakes, provide candid explanations where questions arise, and, where necessary, apologise and seek forgiveness. True authority is strengthened, not diminished, when a leader accepts responsibility rather than seeks to shield uncomfortable aspects of the past from legitimate scrutiny. This becomes particularly important when questions concern educational credentials. Issues surrounding foundational schooling — primary and secondary — should not remain unresolved or be addressed primarily through legal proceedings. Nigerians deserve clear, credible, and verifiable explanations, especially when such had been submitted in the past. My deepest concern is the example this sets for more than 200 million Nigerians, particularly the over 30 million young people in schools. The nation’s highest office should exemplify integrity, accountability, transparency, and ethical leadership. An imperfect past is part of the human condition. What matters is the willingness to confront it with humility, honesty and deep apology, to make amends where necessary and, when circumstances so demand, to place the interests of the nation above personal ambition. When will our political class fully appreciate that individual ambitions are temporary, while the nation endures? The Presidency is an office held for a season; the moral standards established by those who occupy it can influence generations. Nigeria is greater than any one person, and the integrity of the Republic must always come before the interests of the individual. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Extradite them from Nigeria but defend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and hide his records from the public. The FBI is part of the calamity being encouraged in Nigeria because it has refused to do the right thing by releasing the records of President Tinubu, instead helping him hide it. If you can defend evil, you have no right to fight against evil. And just to add that the Twitter account of @ChicagoState is still locked till today to assist in the criminal protection of the truth about Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Until you release those records, you’re also as evil as the ones you’re extraditing, because your actions have pushed many more people into engaging in criminal acts, because they have a president that has entrenched poverty, a president with criminal records that you have chosen to protect rather than ensure his removal. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands.

The venue is set for another intensive 2-week bootcamp in Enugu. It’s free for the selected 100 students. Majority of the participating students were top Olympiad in our last edition. They will learn how to build prototype technology that helps optimize energy consumption in homes (hardware and software). It should save homes billions of Naira in electricity bills. They will also develop prototype technology that eliminates election fraud at polling units (hardware and software). It’s a partnership with NITDA, @chilo_aco , and @enugusmeagency . The future is looking exciting.

.@officialABAT President Tinubu, Terminate the Dodgy £746 Million Ports Deal, Now By Obiageli “Oby” Ezekwesili One hundred and fifty‑two days after President Bola Tinubu signed a £746 million ports financing deal with the United Kingdom at Windsor Castle, neither government has disclosed the terms of the agreement. I initially held back from commenting, prioritising Nigeria’s spiraling insecurity. But the persistent silence surrounding this deal and the pattern of opaque governance it reflects makes further waiting irresponsible. Nigeria’s public debt has exploded from ₦87 trillion in May 2023 to over ₦152 trillion today. Debt service now gulps more than 60 percent of government revenues, leaving crumbs for health, education, and the security Nigerians are dying for lack of. The administration’s annual borrowing rate has soared to nearly ₦50 trillion, that is, ten times that of its predecessors, fueled by a $21.45 billion external borrowing plan approved without a single substantive public hearing by the complicit, supine and captive @nassnigeria . Against this backdrop, the Tinubu government added a £746 million ports deal whose terms remain hidden. This is not a grant, nor aid. It is a sovereign debt obligation. It is a commercial loan arranged by Citibank London, guaranteed by UK Export Finance, and structured to benefit British exporters. At least £236 million is contractually reserved for British suppliers. British Steel alone secured a £70 million contract it described as one of the largest in its history. Nigeria borrowed the money that British companies will harvest the contracts and Nigerians will repay the debt. Yet neither interest rates nor repayment timelines have been officially published. Civil society organizations, including SEREC, BudgIT and opposition parties have demanded disclosure. None has received a substantive response. The loan agreement remains unpublished by the Ministry of Finance, NPA, UKEF, or any other official body. Three failures make this silence unacceptable. First, currency risk: a sterling loan benchmarked to a floating dollar rate, repayable in a Naira that has lost over 70 percent of its value since 2023, with no disclosed hedging framework. Second, procurement failure which is most vexing for me as one who led the public procurement reforms of this country: credible reporting identifies ITB Nigeria a company owned by Gilbert Chagoury who is publicly identified as a bosom friend of President Tinubu as the primary contractor without the Due Process of competitive tender, without publicly available evidence of the involvement of the Bureau for Public Procurement, and without any published evaluation criteria. Third, policy failure: the government ignored the proven alternative of private capital. The Lekki Deep Sea Port was built for $1.5 billion under a private BOT concession with zero sovereign debt and now handles 1.2 million Twenty‑foot Equivalent Units - TEUs. In simple language, the Lekki Port for which Nigeria did not take on any loans attracted private financing and is today successfully handling 1.2 million single 20‑foot shipping container annually. No analysis whatsoever has been offered by the Tinubu administration to justify why then Apapa and Tin Can, two of West Africa’s most commercially productive ports, could not follow the same model of private capital. These two ports do not need sovereign debt to be rehabilitated. What they need is a governance framework that attracts private capital on Nigeria's terms. …/1 Continue reading on next tweet.

Yesterday, I was in Bauchi to honour, for the fifth time, the invitation of the Goodluck Jonathan Foundation to its dialogue themed: “Beyond Elections: Can Political Parties and the Judiciary Save African Democracy?” I thank President Goodluck Jonathan for his selfless sacrifice and unwavering commitment to building a better Nigeria and a better Africa. I also commend the Chairman, President Olusegun Obasanjo, for his enduring contributions to peace, unity and justice across Africa. My appreciation also goes to the host, the Governor of Bauchi State, for his good work and for providing the platform for this important conversation. My modest contribution at the event was to highlight my concern that African democracy, using Nigeria as a case study, has deteriorated to such an extent that we are approaching a point where we may no longer be able to meaningfully say that democracy exists. I recalled how I approached the courts when I believed my mandate had been stolen in Anambra. At that time, the judiciary demonstrated the independence expected of an arm of government. It upheld the law and restored the will of the people, without any relationship whatsoever between me and the judges who handled the matter. That was democracy at work. Today, however, those who break the law are often the first to tell you to “go to court.” Our electoral management body, staffed by highly educated Nigerians, including many professors, is increasingly accused of enabling electoral malpractice and the emergence of people who are not qualified or do not possess the mandate of the people. Our lawmakers have removed forgery as an electoral offence, while some senior advocates appear to defend or normalise actions that should ordinarily attract condemnation. Our religious leaders sometimes pray for blessings upon political actors accused of misappropriating the commonwealth. And, most troubling of all, we now hear allegations of judges chanting, “On your mandate we shall stand.” When the very institutions established to protect democracy begin to accommodate its destruction, we must stop pretending that everything is normal. I earnestly call for sober reflection and honest thinking. Socrates said that “the unexamined life is not worth living.” A nation, too, must examine itself if it intends to survive. We must halt this drift towards institutional decay and redirect our attention towards building a country that we and the generations that come after us, can be proud of. A New Nigeria is POssible. -PO

I honestly don’t know how to write this without sounding broken. I am Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo, and I just want to ask you to please remember the people who have been killed in Nigeria. Please don’t let their names become just another statistic. Behind every death is a family. A father who won’t come home. A mother whose children will never hear her voice again. A husband who told his wife he would be back. A child who is now growing up without a parent. Some families went to sleep expecting a normal day. They woke up to gunshots, destruction and the worst news anyone can receive. Today, some homes have empty chairs. Some children are asking questions nobody knows how to answer. Some widows are wondering how they will feed their children tomorrow. Some communities are still burying their loved ones while the rest of the world has already moved on to the next story. I know it is easy to scroll past these stories when they are happening somewhere far away. But imagine it was your family. Imagine getting that phone call. Imagine standing beside the grave of someone you spoke to, prayed with, ate with and loved just days before. Wouldn’t you want someone to remember them? Wouldn’t you want someone to pray for you? Wouldn’t you want someone to simply say, “You are not alone”? That is why I keep speaking. Not because I have all the answers, but because I refuse to forget. Please pray for Nigeria. Pray for the widows and orphans. Pray for the wounded. Pray for families who have lost everything. Pray for the communities living in fear. Pray for those working to protect innocent people. And pray for peace. The Bible says, “Mourn with those who mourn.” So today, I mourn with them. And I ask you to mourn with them too. To every family that has buried someone they love: we have not forgotten you. To every child who has lost a parent: you are not forgotten. To every widow trying to figure out how to face tomorrow: you are not forgotten. And to everyone reading this, please do one thing for me: Remember them when you pray tonight. May God comfort the brokenhearted, protect the innocent, bring peace to Nigeria and give strength to everyone carrying this pain. Rev. Ezekiel Dachomo

Can I be candid for a second? The hardest part of leaving Islam wasn’t theology. It was the word “apostate.” Murtad. The one who leaves. In many places, that word is a death sentence. In every place, it’s a social execution. I’m so lucky to be in Texas where I can defend myself. I knew that walking toward Jesus might cost me everything. My family. My safety. My whole world. And I almost let that fear keep me from the truth. Then I read about a man named Stephen, dying under a pile of stones for the name of Jesus, looking up and saying, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” Acts 7:60. He wasn’t dying afraid. He was dying FREE. But this is the hinge of the whole thing. It’s that I was scared of what following Jesus would cost me. But I met people who’d lost everything for Him and had MORE peace than I did with everything intact. That’s not normal. You don’t lose your whole life and gain peace. …unless what you found is worth more than what you lost. “Whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Matthew 16:25. I didn’t know it would be the first time I was actually alive.

Today been Sunday, the 2nd of August 2026 , and I woke up with a heavy heart. Instead of rejoicing in a new day, my thoughts were consumed by the heartbreaking images from yesterday as twenty-seven innocent souls were laid to rest together in a mass burial in Naridon Village, Southern Kaduna. My heart aches beyond words. Twenty-seven caskets stood side by side, each one carrying a life that was precious to God. Some families stood before more than one coffin because they had lost several loved ones in the same attack. Parents buried their children. Children buried their parents. Brothers, sisters, neighbours, and lifelong friends were all taken away by violence. "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Psalm 34:18 As I looked at those coffins, I could not help but ask how many more tears must be shed before the world pays attention. How many more villages must mourn? How many more innocent Christians must be buried together before their cries are heard? Yesterday, Naridon Village became another place where dreams were buried alongside innocent lives. The sound of weeping replaced the laughter of families. The silence left behind is almost unbearable. Every coffin tells the story of a future stolen too soon. Jesus said, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4 Today, I ask the Church around the world not to forget Naridon. Pray for the widows whose hearts have been shattered. Pray for the orphaned children who no longer have parents to hold them. Pray for the elderly who have buried their sons and daughters. Pray for a community trying to find hope in the middle of unimaginable sorrow. May the Lord receive these precious souls into His eternal rest. May He comfort every grieving family, heal every broken heart, and give strength to those left behind. And may justice, peace, and compassion rise before more innocent lives are lost. Rest in peace to the twenty-seven precious lives laid to rest yesterday. You may have been buried in one graveyard, but your memory will never be buried from our hearts.

This post sums up the EVIL of denominationalism. It is always 'we' against 'them'. 'Is Christ divided?', Paul asked. If we consider ourselves the body of Christ, we would never utters such shameful words. I am not your enemy. 'Faithful are the wounds of a friend '.

The scary thing about God's judgment is that it can be so veiled and disguised that no one will recognise it for what it is until it is irreversible. The prosperity of wicked men can be a more stern judgement, They will see their wickedness as a means of success, and will think God is on their side, so that they will find no use for repentance. Sometimes, God judges the wicked by letting them prosper.

To the world My name is Reverend Ezekiel Dachomo and today I speak not with hatred but with a heart full of pain and faith A few days ago Fulani herdsmen sent a threatening letter to me and to members of my church The letter was written in both Hausa and English and its message was terrifying They vowed to attack me and kill me soon just as they killed nine of my relatives Copies of these threatening letters have already been handed over to the security operatives Many people have asked me if I am afraid My answer is no I am not afraid because my life is in the hands of Almighty God The Bible says in Psalm 118:6 The Lord is on my side I will not fear What can man do unto me I know what it means to bury those I love I know what it means to wipe the tears of children who watched their parents murdered I know what it means to stand before grieving families whose only crime was refusing to deny Jesus Christ Now they say I will be next But I ask the world What is my crime Is my crime that I speak for widows who have no voice Is my crime that I cry for orphaned children whose parents were murdered Is my crime that I tell the stories of persecuted Christians in Nigeria so the world will not forget them Is my crime that I preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and refuse to remain silent while innocent people are killed If that is my crime then I will continue until my last breath Jesus Himself warned us in John 15:20 If they persecuted Me they will also persecute you I did not choose this path because it is safe I chose it because truth must never bow before terror They may threaten my life but they cannot silence the truth They may kill the messenger but they cannot kill the message Romans 8:35 says Who shall separate us from the love of Christ Shall tribulation or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword The answer is no Nothing can separate us from His love Today I ask the world not to look away Remember the widows Remember the orphans Remember the innocent Christians who continue to suffer simply because of their faith Stand with us in prayer Stand with us in truth Stand with us in demanding justice for every innocent life And if one day my voice is silenced let the world remember that I never carried a weapon My only weapon was the truth My only mission was to defend the persecuted My only desire was to let the world know that the blood of innocent people cries out before God As Paul declared in 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight I have finished the race I have kept the faith May God strengthen every persecuted believer May He comfort every grieving family And may the light of Christ shine even in the darkest valleys until justice and peace prevail

It is not reasonable to rely on reason as our ultimate standard … When its legitimacy ultimately depends on reason seeming reasonable. Absent a transcendent God who alone can immanently define all – including the foundations of logic and meaning – because He alone created all … “Reason” apart from Him ultimately leaves us stuck with ourselves in circular absurdity.

There’s a detail in the golden calf story that the Quran and the Bible flatly contradict — and it exposes which book protects its heroes. Genesis… I mean Exodus 32. Who made the calf? AARON. The high priest. Moses’ own brother. He gathered the gold, shaped the idol, built an altar. Exodus 32:4-5. And gave the most pathetic excuse in Scripture: “I threw it in the fire, and out came this calf.” Exodus 32:24. The Quran? Aaron is completely innocent. He tried to stop it. The blame falls on a mystery man, “al-Samiri” — the Samaritan. Surah 20:85-90. Here’s the problem. The Samaritans didn’t exist in Moses’ day. Samaria wasn’t founded until King Omri built it — around 870 BC, some 500 years AFTER Moses. 1 Kings 16:24. So the Quran clears the prophet’s brother and pins it on a people who wouldn’t exist for five centuries. The Bible does the opposite. It nails its own high priest to the wall. You know what that tells me? A book willing to expose Aaron isn’t protecting anyone’s reputation. It’s telling the truth. And that’s exactly the book I want telling me about my sin — and about the true High Priest, who “has no need to offer sacrifices for His own sins,” because He had none. Hebrews 7:26-27. Aaron built the calf. Jesus bore the guilt for it. Praise the Lord, Jesus Christ

The things modern Christians are often ashamed of affirm our current priorities. We are ashamed of failing exams, being broke, and generally missing out on societal success. We hardly get ashamed about misrepresenting Jesus or our inability to be useful to God's kingdom. Or perhaps we believe that we can't represent Jesus without societal success, and we can't be useful to God's kingdom until the world rates us very highly. I'm not even sure which one is the greater calamity.
