🤯 It just dawned on me that hip-hop started because New Yorkers were celebrating a Knicks championship 🤣
53 years ago, hip-hop was born at a back-to-school party in the Bronx. Now, the Bronx School of Hip Hop is preparing a new generation of artists that will shape what comes next. I sat down with @Nas to talk about the past, present, and future of hip-hop in NYC — from the turntables to our classrooms.

Dame Dash, a black man, isn’t bothered that his son, Dusko, is his first child to like black girls, but HE IS bothered that his daughters don’t like black men 😂😂 you can’t make this shit up
“When you’re in a certain social class, sometimes you only have a stereotype of the people that you’re not in front of.” Dame Dash says his son Dusko is his first child that loves Black girls, admitting that the rest of his children don’t because they’re not around them. Also, Dame Dash opens up about his daughters’ perception of a Black man and says his daughters are afraid of the quintessential stereotypical version of what they perceive a Black man to be. Iran has made many miscalculations in this war, but perhaps the biggest one so far is that they think an average American is capable of reading 26 pages.
The IRGC has published a 26-page "Letter to the American people." Very little of note in here--a rundown of US crimes, a denunciation of American imperialism, an insistence of Iran's victory in this year's war--though the emphasis on rejecting "evil, deceitful, and violent politicians" hints at November's mid-term elections. img9.irna.ir/d/r2/2026/09/29…

this is because you only look at "harming the environment" like it's an abstract universal aspect and don't see the individual cases of entire communities and so many neighborhoods being polluted, striped out of clean water and air solely due to data centers
OP is 100% right. People shit on AI for “harming the environment” but if you look at the numbers, the AI industry is one of the least polluters If you want to hate AI, hate it for the right reasons like filling the internet with garbage, plagiarizing work and spying on you

Everyday I thank God ishowspeed toured Africa.
Marlon claims Americans are so PRIVILEGED after spending a few weeks in Africa. He says Africans don’t have PHONES, HOUSES or RUNNING WATER, k*ll goats and cows, then cook them over a FIRE as a meal… telling Americans to be THANKFUL for water and flights. 💀

As we talk about what happened at Cornell, there is a young Black woman student Kendall Francis down at LSU who also came forward this month to talk about the way LSU mishandled her report of sexual assault from a football player. She reported the assault immediately, went to the hospital and had a kit done. The school found him liable (Title IX); he admitted it. He was suspended but not for as long as is standard. Appealed. He was allowed to return to football, despite the finding.

I think people forget that it used to be totally normal to move out of your home state and have your only interactions with your folks be during major holidays and occasional phone calls. People didn’t HAVE to “go no contact” because there were physical spatial boundaries set up.
I think parents just used to get away with a lot more before. It's really truly not easy to distance yourself from family and if you've done so, it's more than likely there's a very good reason for it

i hate the topic of parental estrangement/no contact or whatever. all these boomers act like cutting your parents off is a fun and cool thing to do when the reality is that it's heartbreaking to have parents so unwilling to consider their children's humanity that it came to this.
