Had a deep conversation with a smart 16 year old. So many insights - all his friends are using AI to do classwork but not everyone is effective. He used better prompts to win an MUN and his peers were astounded. He’s using AI as a second brain/assistant. - GPT is most used. Gemini as its integrated with Google and YT. - He got an internship with a prof who gave him a complex task. He used Grok bot to get it done in <5 mins. Tried all and found Grok bot the best (I’ll try today on his suggestion) - He is taking a month’s break from school. Reads WSJ, has devoured biographies of great people, invests in public markets. Now started reading Intelligent Investor. - Making a conscious effort to talk to more people to improve his public speaking skills. Imagine : this will be the workforce of future. Smart, driven, AI powered. To stay relevant, everyone will need to become a learning machine. The future is not just artificial intelligence but human intelligence x 10000. You need curiosity. And you’ve to take advantage of AI, otherwise you’re like a farmer who is watering the plants with a bucket and mug.

No AI generated Qs, no AI generated podcasts. Real humans doing real conversations and real humans asking real human questions in real time.

I was meeting my friend @gragtah and my Uber got late. I reached Caltrain station at 2.26 pm, the time it was supposed to depart was 2.25 pm. The screen showed - ‘departing’. Another person who was running towards station pointed to screen and left. Gave me looks to go back too. I ran to the platform, waived my arms with puppy face and they let me in. And 10 other people too who were waiting outside. You can just do things 🤣🤣

Nature has created enough, even for birds and animals. They’ve no manual that teaches them how to migrate, find food, live. Humans are worried. They look to scientists and specialists to tell them how to live life. Experts tell them there isn’t enough for them. Well, good news - you don’t need any of those. Rely on your gut, your intuition. You’ve universal intelligence encoded in you.

A tweet is like a book. It stays forever. Insta Stories/Snap are like life. Fleeting. Only you and your close ones remember it.

VCs are bullish on robotics, looksmaxxing, hardware, drones, data infra, longevity. Fundraising for software is so out of season. For a good reason. Shows clearly how OAI and ANT are steamrolling startups left and right.

The problem with communication is that people sometimes misunderstand you. You’ve 4 options then 1. Forget about it 2. Clarify your intent and forget about it 3. Keep replaying it and belittling yourself over it. And staying mum 4. Over explain Best option? #2

Was talking to someone and they asked if I’ve an AI agent tweeting this. I told them - no, it’s me. REAL HUMAN posting real thoughts. Expending on that thought : Why am I able to post such stuff? Because I’m in SF. It’s such a trippy experience to just live here. Everyone around you has insane energy and experiences. They’re bending the universe to their will. Some folks I know, who were dismissed by the world, have become legendary founders. Everyone has like this delusional optimistic mindset. Otherwise they can’t stay here. It’s not a place like NYC where there’s no much liveliness and people prioritize life+experiences. Here, people prioritize building. So, only certain kind of builders live here for long. Others find it dry, boring, weird. The crazy ones find it like a Disneyland, like their Mecca. Hence, they get so many thoughts. And hence X is so popular here.

Pivot hell should be renamed pivot heaven. Language shapes your thinking. Why say pivot HEAVEN? - you can think from a beginner’s mindset - infinite possibilities are open - you can burn and discard old stuff (like Ravana or burning man) and think of new - you can go at any speed, tinker fast and run experiments - you can have sense of urgency without anxiety When you say Pivot HELL - it literally makes you feel like you’re in hell. Free stress, undue pressure, free psychological pain. Why give that to yourself? No need to dump negativity on yourself. You want to create with love, ambition and care. Not under the feeling that it’s a burden. It’s an opportunity, it’s a privilege to create things and pivot to better/newer/more ambitious ideas. Products that are created with love spread the most. Look at Apple, Dyson, Muse, Lovable, Uniqlo, On Shoes. Enjoy your pivot HEAVEN time and come on EARTH stronger 💪💪

People join company cults, accelerator cults, VC cults, biker gang cults, pickleball cults, ceramic pottery cults, hiker gang cults, CrossFit cults, spirituality cults, vegan cults, spirituality cults and so on. Replace the word cult with group and it’s all fine.

If you ever feel demotivated, start with a small task. Like writing an email or responding on slack. Get 5 wins in <5 mins and your brain will be ready to work on bigger problems. Another forcing function is to deny yourself breakfast until you’ve finished one major task. This works so well - it motivates you to get stuff done asap and also leads to an involuntary healthy habit (intermittent fasting)

For some reason, I can't watch movies on netflix or videos on YT. When I do it, i feel like i have wasted time. However, i am so open to reading stuff. be it X, blogs, books, research papers, news, substacks. even if i am actually wasting time on reading, i feel productive.

If you’ve any ideas inside of you, implement them. Put an effort to make them alive. Otherwise they’ll die. And no idea is small or stupid. It’s your idea, it’s your thought. It means something. Don’t dismiss it, don’t doubt it. If someone disses it, listen to them but don’t let it go. Try for yourself. If nature gave you an idea, it means that this idea is valuable. Trust it, trust your gut. Trust me on this, you won’t regret it :) It’s never too early, it’s never too late. If you had an idea as a child, implement it when you’re 30. It’s okay. There’s no hurry, there’s no competition, there’s no benchmark. Do it for yourself, no one else. If you’re happy and fulfilled, that’s the best gift you can give yourself and your loved ones. So do it. Let out your idea. Stealth mode doesn’t work.
