Exit polls are actually prohibited in Alberta. You are not allowed to ask how a voter voted within 100 metres of a polling station.

An important update for everyone watching tonight’s referendum results:
@ElectionsAB has advised that polls are scheduled to close at 8PM tonight, however there were delays at locations across Alberta, as a result a poll in Edmonton will close at 10PM
No unofficial results will be released until every voting location across Alberta is confirmed closed, that means results will come after 10 PM, potentially later.
It will be a longer evening than anticipated. Let’s be patient, give election workers the time they need, and ensure every voter can cast their ballot and every vote is counted.
