MCDMA Update 🚀
RDMA between METAL and CUDA has been achieved.
Started at 600 µs over Ethernet, then 200 µs over USB-C, and now MCDMA’s 4 KiB RDMA medians are Mac WRITE 10.2 µs / READ 7.9 µs and Spark WRITE 4.1 µs / READ 7.1 µs.
Still headroom to chase, but it’s out there, so you can have a play and use it in your projects.
Next up is an oMLX PR and 25 experiments to see what these machines can do together.
