We need to bust the myth that one needs a “certification” to administer effective CPR 🙌🏻 and use an AED⚡️ Hands Only CPR done my 15 year old for 8 minutes saved my my life and my brain 🧠. He learned it in a 20 minute 7th gd health class, 3 years prior.

On this day two years ago, my perfectly healthy husband had a sudden cardiac arrest in his sleep. I fought back death for ten long minutes with no weapons but my hands and phone. I watched the color change and eventually drain out of his body.

We have a cardiac arrest situation about every 15 min in Canada with survival rates of about 15% only . We need to have better public training of CPR , engagement and access to AEDs! Let's all do this together!! @SCC_CCS @CHRS_SCR @HeartsInRhythm @heartsofbc

One month ago today (17/09/21), I came across a man who had suffered a cardiac arrest. I performed CPR until paramedics arrived which contributed towards saving his life. Last week, I received the most lovely card and gift from him and his wife that I will treasure forever 🥺💗✨
