Is someone working on "paid-source" companies? These days I'm willing to pay more for software I can have the source vs SaaS. Not for the money, but for the ability to customize. Open-source is great, but bad for monetization. Paid-source should be a business model.
Alex and Meta are on a roll! This model is genuinely good and has replace Astra/Opus for a variety of workflows for me!
Been surprised at how good it is to get day-to-day tasks done very efficiently and fast! Congrats!
🍉 MUSE WONDER 🍉
our research process starts with evals. we developed the Personal Superintelligence Index (PSI) internally to help us measure the important dimensions of what actually makes a model useful for personal agents, vs just focusing on external benchmarks.
the end result is that our model is incredible for personal agents in many subtle and important ways, including Active Memory and Active Focus.
i'm especially proud of our research team for taking a particular focus on developing useful models. the whole point of building advanced frontier models is to make them useful to real people, and we have thought about that every step of the way in our research process.
muse wonder is quite advanced across the board, and certainly has big model smell (which we quantified!), but is truly state of the art for personal agents.
When racism is disguised as patriotism… Jack and airwallex are great and we should be proud to have them in America.
Amazing how Keith keeps changing his story.
When his unhinged conspiratorial rants began a year ago Airwallex was 40% Chinese-owned according to him (a lie). When the facts caught up with him he moved the goalposts. And notice that the personal attacks have stopped too? He no longer calls me a “CCP tool” or attacks my integrity now that people are paying attention.
Keith also uses “Chinese investors” to make ordinary venture capital sound sinister. He means Sequoia. Nearly eight years ago, Steve Ji, a respected Midas List investor then based in Melbourne, approached an Australian founder and offered to lead a round in our startup. It was one of the best days of my life. Does Keith believe every founder backed by Sequoia in that era should now be punished?
The world has changed, and we have responsibly evolved our cap table with it. Most of our investors (Greenoaks, Addition, Lone Pine, Salesforce Ventures, Visa, Mastercard, Amex, T.Rowe Price) are from the US, Australia and Europe. No global Airwallex executive is based in China.
And his supposed “legal standard” is fiction. He literally doesn’t know what he is talking about.
By Keith’s logic, dozens of Fortune 500 companies would be suspect simply because they employ senior regional executives in China. Airwallex does not even have a global executive based there.
With regard to ownership, HSBC and other banks literally do business in the US.
I respect Keith, I think he’s smart, you’d think he’d get off of X and just talk to me about this but he won’t because the smear must go on.
Turns out write drunk edit sober works for models too. Have been having a great experience with big projects to ask models (GPT 5.6 Sol x-high) to just write drunk (without overly testing, compiling, etc), reviewing drunk and than editing sober to fix mistakes. Not sure why, but it works.
“Hire me! I'm a great senior engineer (code monkey)” Hard pass.
Finance bro relying on his “quant guy”? Harder pass.
LLMs will out-do the best engineers and quants. That is the bare minimum.
I want people obsessed with the problem, not the code.
If you’re obsessed with credit, derivatives, real estate, or portfolio optimization, this tweet is for you.
We’re building the most AI-native investment team on Earth. Not a fund though.
I’m not sharing the who or what yet, but here's what I can say: you’ll be investing billions of dollars in your twenties, including all my proceeds from the Capital One acquisition.
A few warnings:
- 996 is easy. Here it’s closer to 8am-10pm-7 days a week. Don’t worry, I’ll be in the office before you arrive and after you leave.
-We pay really well, but we expect even more. You’ll feel overpaid compared to your friends and underpaid compared to how much we expect. And let’s be honest: nobody gets rich out of bonuses. Real generational wealth is built through tax-deferred equity.
- We expect first-principles thinking for everything. And I mean everything. If someone asks you why you’re doing something in this way, “because this is how we did it at my last firm” is not an acceptable answer.
- We expect you to be full-stack. From vision, to building to execution. There is no “support”. If you can't use claude code to support yourself, then wtf are you even doing?
- You’ll be expected to master complex concepts in a matter of days.
- We will pair you with industry veterans so you can leverage their experience. Don’t fuck it up.
Roles we’re hiring for:
- Credit/Fixed income lead - do you think that emerging-market banks bonds provide a great risk reward, but most American investors are scared of it? Talk to us.
- Real estate lead - are you up-to-date on all the new maps for OZs and have no patience for trophy assets that don’t have great after-tax yield? Talk to us.
- Derivatives lead - You're able to represent any view by stacking the right structured payoffs? Talk to us.
- Equities lead - You like stock picking? Save your energy. You deeply understand how risk models work from first principles, how optimizers are god’s gift to humanity and how every stock pick is never good or bad, it's just part of a portfolio? Talk to us.
- Quant infrastructure lead - You’re obsessed with finding specific signals to generate alpha? Save your energy, Citadel is a better spot. You’re into building infrastructure to test new strategies, manage risk and optimize portfolios? Talk to us.
If you think you’re a good fit, email me at [email protected] answering the following question: What about the investment process in the asset class you have the most experience with will most materially change with AI and why?
Happy memorial weekend :)
Hot take: now with LLMs, .NET is actually quite good. The verbosity was a big problem in the past but now with LLMs it's a feature.

We just launched Monaco. Here’s the exact playbook we used. I hope it's helpful to other founders and startups:
1. The launch video: most launch videos I see orient around some stressed out person at their desk or some philosophical approach to company building. Do not do this.

Some investors sue their founders. Some sue the government of the country that is harassing one of their founders! Would your VC do this for you? :)
