Hey friends! As some of you may know, my brother has been fighting early onset Parkinson's Disease for nearly half his life. This Saturday I'm riding 100 mi to raise money for a cure. I'd appreciate any donations you're able to make for this cause. Thanks! give.michaeljfox.org//hawkt
in 24 hours, i'll be riding 100 miles for @neparkinsons to raise awareness and cash for parkinson's disease research. my brother has grappled with pd for nearly 25 years, and we still have so much to learn about pd. if you can donate, please do. thank you. fundraise.michaeljfox.org/ne…
did my only other 100-mi ride at age 16. this time both my legs cramped hard at mile ~75. couldn't move them and had to pull over. then i remembered i could tap into unused muscles (like i did the first time) by riding bow legged. must've looked like a circus bear on a tiny bike.
last night, the kid and her sleepover buddy held a contest to see who could make the bigger "yo" using paper, pens, tape and scissors. her friend made a big canvas and drew the word, finishing early. the kid thought, then cut her paper into strips and made giant letters. she won.
strategizing. soliciting diverse opinions. listening to feedback. gathering observations. formulating insights. acknowledging questions. seeking answers. liaising. identifying parallels. recognizing patterns. connecting dots. sharing info. iterating. designing stuff is hard work.
great offsite with the @travelers picx team this week. had a blast going on adventures, volunteering with @riverfrontrecap and finally meeting everyone in person. proud to work with talented folks who know how to make a difference and have a good time doing it.
hey friends, next month i'll be riding 162 miles from sturbridge to p-town as part of the @panmass challenge to raise $6k for @danafarber. i'd appreciate any support you can provide, be it monetary, spiritual or otherwise. thanks! profile.pmc.org/HT0054

For real, though. You probably shouldn't use it.

last night the kid told me the boys at school wouldn't let the girls play kickball. we talked about how boys can't stop girls from playing and what we can both do about it. today she's giving a speech as susan b. anthony. this morning we made her an "equal kickball rights" sash.

It takes a monster to kill children. But to watch monsters kill children again and again and do nothing isn’t just insanity—it’s inhumanity.
back in austin for a few days. it's been nice, but we stopped by our old house this morning. it's an airbnb now, which is whatever. they also cut down the desert willow in the front yard, which was a memorial for amalia. they probably had a good reason but it feels like violence.
