Really sorry to hear of the closure of @hatchandsons in Dublin - loved this concept, and its blaas, stews and boards. It was a warm, confident celebration of Irish food & heritage in a world of generic chains. #LoveDublin

The damning, gutting reality of Covid impact on Irish tourism and hospitality businesses 😢.
Replying to @hatchandsons
But from 2020, there were simply not enough tourists or office workers to sustain sales in any meaningful way. Despite some attempts to pivot, it was clear we had lost 96% of our revenues for 2021.

We were very sorry to hear of our colleagues in @hatchandsons having to close. But, of course, you can still visit Peaches and Domini's restaurants @EditionCafe and Hugh Brown's in BTs, @TheCommonsMoLI and @ItsaCafes and @joesdublin.
Such wonderful ambassadors for Irish food!
THANK YOU
We have been overwhelmed with the response to the closure of both branches of Hatch & Sons. Thank you all. It means so much to us.

We'd also like to remind you of our other food businesses still operating - including @EditionCafe and Hugh Brown's in BTs, @TheCommonsMoLI, @ItsaCafes, @joesdublin and our boutique catering firm @FeastCateringIr.
Thank you again for all your kind words.

Sorry to hear this, it was one of my favourite places to visit for soup and a spiced beef blaa when in Dublin.

One of my fondest memories of experiencing an elevated Irish menu, highlighting the potential of Irish food was @hatchandsons .Always loved bringing people here to showcase how good simple Irish food can be. Such a loss. Hopefully this excellent concept can find a new home.

Long time since I’ve had the chance to frequent it, but I’ve always loved Hatch. Sad to see it go. It was ahead of its time when it opened - like pretty much everything you two do!

Sorry to hear that Domini, always a welcoming spot, proper quality food, and lovely atmosphere. Hopefully another opportunity will arise to recreate it.
