I can't remember if I tweeted this as advice to the world, or as a reminder to myself, but I stand by it either way.
Rest in peace to Dolly Parton, one of the best human beings there's ever been.

Bob Dylan calling it the "North America" 2026 tour, then playing zero shows in Canada.
He does this to fuck with me, folks. He thinks I'll just sit back and take it. Well, you know what? You know what, BOB? You do this to me 10 or 12 more times... 15 tops... and THAT'S IT!!
"Hey, you see Mick Jagger prancing about?"
"Yeah, so what? He's barely 82. Still a young man."
"What if I told you he's closer to 83?"
"BULLSHIT"
"Look it up. Turns 83 in just a few short weeks."

I like how the thumbnail makes it look like Robbie did this interview in the middle of a concert.
"Robbie, what do you think of Jim Morrison?"
ROBBIE [turning & shouting]: "He's a drag! One second. 🎶 annnd you put the load right on me!! 🎶 Yeah, I just think he's a drag."
Something about Bob Dylan, who's influenced the arts as much as anybody, looking back on his life saying: "You're haunted by how little of it really mattered in the way you thought it would." Many people could speak those words, but there's nobody who could make 'em land harder.

Hi, Harry Hew here. If you liked this tweet I tweeted about the Beatles' first album and how old it is, perhaps you might like this talk I talked about Bob Dylan and how funny he is. Bit of a stretch, but it's all I got. Peace and love, peace and love.

Crazy that John Fogerty isn't higher on these lists of Great American Songwriters. It's not like CCR is forgotten, they do Beatles-level streaming #s and are still all over radio. I guess people think the songs wrote themselves. Which is itself a testament to Fogerty's talent.
It was so he could walk up to the tallest and the blondest girl and say look, you don't know me now, but very soon you will
Report card for Leonard Cohen, Junior Counsellor at Camp Sunshine: "He often led the camp in sing song & made good use of his guitar. ... He served as assistant at the waterfront & directed the Counsellors' show. This list of achievements did not cause him to become swellheaded."
McGuinn told a great story at the World of Dylan. Bob was at McGuinn's place in Malibu, saw he had a basketball hoop & was sad he didn't have a ball. Next day McGuinn calls & Bob's wife Sara picks up. McGuinn says "Tell Bob I got a ball." Sara goes, "Oh Bob will be so EXCITED!!"
