3 years of @BrightFunded. Small time capsule for anyone curious how this started. Some of these photos are from August and September 2023, somewhere in Mexico. The others are from May 2024, in Amsterdam. A small remote team, a lot of messages at bad hours, and a very long list of things to build. You can spot @SybDijkstra, @jelle_dijkstra and me in there looking three years younger. That is the one thing we could not scale 😂 The Amsterdam ones are special. That was the first time the three of us met in person, after more than 8 months of building this company together online. It was also my first time in Europe. Very strange feeling to shake hands with people you already talk to every single day. That is the part I did not expect. It started as a working relationship and it turned into a friendship that is now three years old. I think that is the right order. You do good work with good people, you go through the hard months together, and the friendship shows up on its own. Those are the relationships that actually last. When the company launched in September 2023 I was just a moderator in the Discord. I had free time and I loved trading, so I helped wherever I could. No plan, no title, nothing. Things look very different for me now and none of it came from waiting around. You show up, you do the work, you make things happen. We always knew we wanted to build everything in house. Our own systems, our own tech. We did not want to depend on anyone. That choice makes the start much slower. You cannot buy your way there. You build it, you break it, you build it again, and then you break it one more time just to be sure. A lot has changed since then. I could not be happier with where we are right now, and the funny part is that it still feels early. And of course we are not going to have a third birthday and give you nothing. There is a surprise coming later today and it is a good one. Keep an eye on @BrightFunded so you do not miss it, because you are going to want to take advantage of this one.
