Trump cultist and self-proclaimed "prophet" Hank Kunneman held yet another tongue-speaking worship service seeking God's intervention to prevent "the agenda of hell" from winning in the midterm elections. peoplefor.org/rightwingwatch…
They did the look alike thing in Washington square for the Nathan fielder movie and so now I’m not gonna watch it for three years. Those are the rules.

Pod backkkkkk. Joined this time with da goat Tom Ianelli (aka peterbooksnyc). We talk about a bunch of shit: the ups and downs of book selling, running a popping ass literary Instagram series, street fights on Bedford Ave, the one time he got faded with James Patterson.

The corporate world sees football players, fraternity brothers and sorority sisters as prime recruits. Students are conditioned to join the team, to surrender moral autonomy, to accept and carry out acts of personal humiliation, to treat with contempt those who oppose them or who are different, to define their life by an infantile narcissism centered on greed and self-promotion and to remain silent about crimes they witness or take part in.
It is the very ethic of corporations.
The ruling elite sees in Greek organizations and college sports programs the training ground for an amoral class of speculators, bankers and corporatists who pillage the country. The goal is to train people to subsume themselves into the herd, to unquestioningly use technical and vocational skills to serve the system.
These forces of conformity are hostile to the humanities, where students are taught to question assumptions and structures. The humanities prod students to seek a life of meaning and an ethical code that challenges the blind, utilitarian obedience to power and profit that corporations and the military instill.

Introducing Griffin, the first model to pass the video Turing test.
48% of people who talked to it live thought it was a real human. Previous systems have had a pass rate <3%. It is #1 on NVIDIA's benchmark for full-duplex AI video.
It’s the first Human Interaction Model (HIM).
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 48% figure and "video Turing test" claim are from Tavus's own study of 54 one-minute calls, not independently verified or using a standard protocol. Griffin-Lite leads NVIDIA's VideoFDB benchmark on their public leaderboard.

Hate when a mf wears a hat that don’t be wearing hats typically.
I want you to listen very carefully to this lunatic aka Alex Karp, the CEO of Palantir:
“AI has to work for the warfighters and enterprises.”
He’s openly admitting AI in the hands of tech billionaires will be used for war and to make corporations richer.
The main problem with AI has always been that it will be used for nefarious purposes as long as it’s owned and controlled by tech billionaires who are driven purely by greed and profit instead of what is best for humanity.
Sadly, I see a lot of people falling into the trap of thinking, “how can AI be harmful if all I use it for is to assist with work projects.”
Well, let this be your wake up call: That’s not what tech billionaires and the US government are using AI for.
Billionaires are using AI to further enrich themselves while the US government is using it for war and mass surveillance.
The only way to make a technology like this safe is to make sure it is never used for war or profit, which is simply not possible under capitalism and only possible under socialism where the people, not billionaires, own the means of production and decide what’s best for our communities.
I feel like Taylor Swift fans just found out how to talk like gay guys. They didn't used to talk like gay guys right? This is a new thing they're doing?
